  1. Young couple desperately wanted to have kids. Finally got pregnant. After a long hard delivery, the baby was born. Where upon the doctor took the baby over to the window, opened the window and threw the baby out. The mother screamed, "How could you? You just killed my baby!!" The doctor said "Nah...I'm just messin with you, it was already dead."
  2. No pictures yet?
  3. I have done it a couple of times with some boy scouts at Hurricane Ridge. You can drive up and drop gear right by the end of the road. We hike down the trail a bit then head off to the left for some good drifts. When ready we let a ranger know who follows us in truck to an overnight parking area. He drives us back, then we get another ride down when we are ready to leave. The scouts have a blast, good scenery when clear, and it's with in walking distance to flushing toilets which are left open at night. Rich
  4. Climb: Lundin Peak-East Ridge Date of Climb: 5/28/2005 Trip Report: Climbed with Darren, Dave and Kevin. I am an alpine guy, this is the first time I have roped up on rock as well as Kevin. Lundin Peak is perfect for that. The scrambles are easy, but the exposure made me feel like I was really doing something. We traversed down the west ridge. Down-climbing short sections of low 5th class went pretty slow for us. Decended the boulder and talus feild which was murder on the knees. Followed the stream too far which made for some unnecessary bushwhacking to get back to the trail. Highlight of the climb: I forgot the NW pass, but Larry missed me! Gear Notes: Lot's of slings, one cam, one chock, several nuts. Overkill for experienced team, but we used it all. Approach Notes: Just patches of snow. We didn't bring ax or poons.

    Housing Bubble?

I have recently bought, renovated, and sold two houses. I don't get tangled up in the economics of the industry so I can't argue the value of it, but I know that if you buy a house that needs some work, and is in a good location, you will make some money. And if you live in it a while you'll make more money than someone like me who doesn't live in them. I have a friend that has done that for the past 7 years, moving up in price. He is on his last one and making plans to build the home he will live in for a good long while. Rich
  6. This is one reason I don't golf. Too worried about holding up the foursome behind me! Rich
  7. Hey X, I was up there too. The two man team that planned on heading up Monday. We waited till about 4:00 and things just got worse. Decided to bail so that we could work Monday and use that day when hopefully things would be better. The guys from Colorado stayed hoping for better weather and one more try. Rich

  21. eternalX said in another thread: Climbed to 1000' below lunch counter on saturday. Drank beer. Summited Adams on Sunday. Boarded down misreable SW Chutes. Got home late, didn't call gf early enough. Got in trouble. Sounds familiar, I have been there with my wife. My solution was finally to say that I would not call unless it was an emergency. That started this past weekend and I think it is a good solution. I am just too tired of taking flak for having no reception, batteries, or just plain old forgetfulness!
  22. Adam's, and it was crowded on the south side.
  23. Driving down tonight for a climb tomorrow also. There are three in our group. Rich
  24. Anyone know how far the Killen Creek trailhead is from FR23?
