  2. I guess I need to lurk more Proverbial wedding planner at your service Currently my Wednesdays are tied up running a dive shops weekly "tweek" dive, but Tuesdays or Thursdays would work if there is interest in another day of the week, or maybe alternating so that others could go if their schedules don't coincide. Dates I have free to organize something: May 10th (tuesday) May 19th (thursday) May 24th (tuesday) May 31st (tuesday) June 2nd (thursday) Almost any Friday. Been diving more than climbing lately, so Arch, your skills would be put to good use. I can drive if you can put up the ropes What do the girls want? Weekly? Bi-weekly?? Monthly? Lets get some input here for how you want it done this year, and I'll see what I can do on this end to make it happen. Take care, Laura

Uh oh, what are we to call you now, sooobaaarroooo?
  6. Didn't any of your write notes in highschool???? Or love letters in your late teens/early 20's? X = kiss O = Hug OXOX is a girly thing, if it's not a girl you are romantically envolved with, it's a way to say hugs and kisses kind of like the way they air hug and kiss on those tv shows depicting upper class socialites If you are dating the girl (and are still in high school), it's just her saying hugs and kisses.

  11. geez, thanks dru... Yup, that pretty much sums it up. I'm having my ice sack retrofitted with a walker today, and my scuba drysuit a wheelchair...
  12. thanks TLG!! I'm OLD... Way old... just kidding it's my third palindromic birthday... How old did you think I was? 40??
  13. diving rocks. Drysuits ROCK!
  14. Technically, you should shave after you shower, it would be the most hygenic. Nothing like shaving your face with shitty hands... No, I don't shave my face, and yes, in theory I understand you "wash" your hands before you shave, but I'm just sayin'.... Heck, maybe those brillo pad whiskers would be softened up a bit by the shower and you'd get more life out of your razor as well...
  15. Okay, it is confirmed, I get the "good" deal at the hydro place. Instead of $20, it's a mere 8 bucks per tank + tax. Get it while it's hot, I'm taking another load in next week... Vis was 20-25' today out at Alki. Diving did not suck!
  16. Diving tomorrow... Any takers? Prolly just boring old alki, but it's better than moping about the lack of sno...
  17. yup, I heard the same. Too bad. it was a cool dive if you like upside-down planes
  18. yup... dove a couple of the plane's. sorry, no GPS coords tho. Got on the PBM Martin mariner before the salvage attempt... Guess it's not the same either.

    A First Banning

We all take NOLSe as a little bit abrasive at first read, sometimes even at second and third... Unless you know him, this is a very easy misinterpretation (not that I claim to know him by any means, just have had enough interaction to realize that he may have a bit misunderstood) . NOLSe, no offense intended, just poking my nose in where it probably doesnt belong, but you know me, I have opinions about just about everything, and keeping quiet is not well... nuff said.
  20. heh.. some things never change Yeah, I have hours of video of the "old" diamond knot with the wolfies galore... Apparently now the old "deck" that was vertical has now flopped down on the seafloor, and the masts that used to be out sideways (good for the grappleing hook) are now sitting upright pointed at the surface. Sounds disorienting. The bow and the superstructure are still horizontal, but the whole midsection is no more. Must have made some serious racket when it collapsed. Sounds like it happend rather fast, too, one week it was there, then a couple weeks later it wasn't... Heh.
  21. yes. many times. Diamond knot is now the diamond flat. All my dives on her were before the "Great Collapse"... Maybe we should have a cc.com dive outing I stopped in to UW shorts last night (for the first time in YEARS) to use their drysuit clamps so I could test my suit for leaks (they were kind enough to let me play) , it is mostly the same as it was before, Dom is still there, the only big diff is the Nitrox fill station.

    Who else

yeah, tell me about it.... but what I was trying to say is that it's not like NOTHING makes me ill... maybe a bit too much information.

    Who else

same. I only just bought a filter this summer when I decided to go camping with the dogs in some lower elevation areas and was afraid I might run out of water that I brought along.. I've been selectively drinkin' stream water without doing anything to it for 20+ years now and have not gotten sick. I do not have an iron gut by any means, the food at Harborview turns my stomach ever few weeks and I can't eat cooked bell peppers....
  24. 25 + or - or so at the dive shop or so I've seen... Of course this includes VIP and half the time an air fill. The intersting thing is, a tank within 1 year of it's hydro date does not technically need a VIP (since they look inside as a part of the test to make sure there is no pitting or cracking) but some anal dive shop attendants will be a pain about it. The place I go to used to slap a sticker on there as well. Other areas charge different prices.. In South Dakota I hear they cost <20 for an aluminum tank, but then how much diving are ya doing there anyhow I've seen prices in the 40+ range. Locally it seems as though the prices have gone down in the past 10 years. The best way to do it is to take a whole boatload of tanks to the local hydro testing facility (where most shops take them, usually the same place fire extinguishers are tested) and get the bulk rate, in the past this has worked out quite well. There is usually a price difference between standard aluminum and HP steel.
