I've never been that kind of partner but I have been the "I'm asleep and spooning you and getting a woody" scary alpine bivi partner twice.

The summit is just barely above treeline on that one but the south face routes are cragging. The north face is a different story.

Instad of cliping two skinny ropes through one biner, double up pro. put in two pieces of pro close together and clip one skinny rope to each one. That's how the Brits do it.

by definition, alpine is above treeline. So the Tooth etc. are not alpine. Thank you for allowing alpinist to post.
