I just bought one. Not many deals out there, but this is the right time of year to look. The manufacteres under produced again so not very many 04s laying around.

I got a new road bike so it's time to sell my trusty old one, Late 80s Cannondale, 61 cm. Scratched paint but otherwise well maintained. All extras included, SPD pedels. Shimono 105 groupo with some changes over the years. If ridden throughout the winter it will need a new rear wheel, when I had the bearings overhauled the shop said the cup was a bit worn. The cups on that hub wont come out. It will cost you about $150 for a hand built wheel and hub. Asking $200 OBO. A good winter training bike. Don't feel like shipping. I live in Fremont. Yesterday while at work my knee started to hurt, when I felt it I noticed swelling. When I compare knees the swelling is visable. The pain is in the front off to the outside. The swelling is in the front but not under the knee cap. There is no pain where the leg bones meet. I have full range of motion with pain and can support weight just fine. It hurts when I touch it. Not black and blue. Going to the doctor on Tuesday. Any thoughts?

Try mountain biking, long dirt road climbs will get you breathing HARD. There are some loops off of SR 410 that will make you real strong. I suggest the Palisades loop, 20 miles with a 2,700' road climb plus more climbing on the way down. Some hike a bike but no steep downhill. In 2 or 3 hours you can get a fun workout on lowland trails when the wether is shitty in the winter. You are working so hard you don't get cold. It's not bad riding in the rain 'cause your in the trees.

MT Erie near Anacortes, the driest crag in western Washington. Many of the routes are south facing. There should be a guide book out soon. Great views of the San Jauns, Olympics, Whidbey Island and the Cascades. If your lucky the Bald Eagle family will do a fly by.

Saturday- CPOly and I went to Static Point, it was super wet so we hiked up to the rock and looked around. Got totaly soaked by the brush. He had never been to the UW Rock so we hung out there for a while. Sunday- Ken4ord and I did a 50 mole road ride on Whidbey Island. Some drizzle otherwise a great ride. Paco was going to go but he had a broken spoke.

.....any bulitin boards for the Seattle area? My nieghbor is looking for partners.

Who wants to go to Static Point this w/e? Wether looks good. Closer than Lworth and Vantage. Multi pitch slab, mostly bolts. A very nice setting, no crowds. The R&D route will have a line of Mounties on it.
