AS soon as the US stops supporting Isreal unconditionally, there will be peace. i have a hard time believing the rest of the islamic world really loves the palestinians that much and is doing all this on their behalf. they just hate isreal. face it.

i once took a long leader fall on an easy climb so we won't talk about exactly which one it was (it was wet, ok). anyway, i had run it out a little right before i greased so it was like a 40' slab slide (minor abrasions). anyway, as i got back to the spot where i fell a put a nut in to avoid earlier mistake. as soon as i moved past the nut it fell out but i simultaneously caught the nut with my foot and made the move i had wet greased on. i got a lot of crap for that leader fall but nobody gave me credit for my recovery the second time around.

unfortunately it's synched with your box time, which on my POS gummint puter is way off and i'm too lazy to fix it. an internet atomic clock synch would have been cooler.

i don't see it on their website yet but MSR is comming out with a really cool new snowshoe. it will make the whole denali line so last week. it is kind of like a regular bearpaw shoe with neoprene fabric, only instead of aluminuminum tubing the frame is a tensioned, flat, bent piece of aluminuminum. they are super light (lighter than denalis) and look like they will provide awesome uphill and sidehill traction. i can't speak to their durability but i didn't see any major design flaw weaknesses. they look like they will skiing, of course, will still be more fun.

Check Marmot in Bellevue, I think I saw some in there a few days ago. Not familiar with the line but the name sounds kind of familiar. They were black with a Fritschi look to them. Yup, I just got back from Marmot, they've got em. Very short heel elevator, for the rests they look absolutely bomber. supposedly the heel elavator is only a little shorter than on fritshis. it looks a lot shorter, but isn't because it butts up against the heel of the binding differently. yup, i'm trying to decide what to put on my new mira's. i want something beefy so the naxo's are enticing, but $$$ and untested.

that or it espys a particularly bodacious glacier acroos the valley showin' some slippery crevasse...

many "herbal" medicines, such as St John's wort, ma huang, echinacea, guarana, ginkgo, ginseng, valerian, tea tree oil, goldenseal, arnica, yohimbe and kava kava are far from harmless and can be easily overdosed. this is becoming an increasingly common problem as people fail to recognize their dangers as well as their potential for interaction with each other and western drugs. most of these herbals are either stimulants, blood thinners, or diuretics; or a combination thereof. basically the same things as caffein, asperin/ibuprofin, or prescription diuretics. the danger is enhanced with herbals because the dosage is poorly documented/controlled. internal bleeding and liver damage is a common side effect seen in blood thinner overdose (like taking 12 asperin at once basically). google it. magnets, aromas, accupuncture, etc are all basically nonsense aside from the power of suggestion.
