  10. Yeah, well I don't care that you don't care. BTW - the other four are gone. Just the cam left.
  11. BTW - four of the quickdraws are gone. (And I'm still not tellin' who.)
  12. Hey, that's what bbs's are about - anonymity!
  13. Hey, I'm not tellin'! He got a pretty good deal, too, since I only used them a couple of times at Leavenworth while I was learning to lead. I quit using them as soon as I started buying cams. I liked the cams so much, I went a little overboard on them with that #4. I carried it a couple of times and realized I'd never use it, so now it's a $53 paperweight. $30 and it's yours. Hey, I'm trying to scrape together the bucks to buy a new pack. 'Nuf rambling spray?

  16. I was up there via the Sahale Arm last week. The glacier seemed more like a snowfield than a glacier. I've not been up the Quien Sabe, but I hear that the Sahale Arm is not only easier, but the more scenic of the two. And from my experience there, I'd say I believe it.
  17. When I read the original post, I thought it sounded like "Trad Climber" vs. "Sport Climber".
  18. Ted Nugent Essence of Life Gonzo Recipe 1) Go hunting, breathe deep, feel the air, take the Spirit inside, and kill a critter. 2) Remove the hair. Immediately clean and cool the carcass. Butcher flesh into family-size portions. 3) Start fire. Heat good fresh vegetable oil to boiling point in an iron skillet. 4) Fill zipbag with flour, salt and pepper, and good seasoning mixture. Add small, manageable chunks of meat; shake and slide coated pieces into hot oil to sizzle. 5) As brown crust forms on edges, remove onto paper towel. Salivate. Surround yourself with family and friends. Put on plates next to smashed potatoes with skins on. Cut, eat, grin, sip Vernor's Ginger Ale, burp, enjoy.

  20. We were just arriving on the summit of Kangaroo Temple when the thunder & lightning began. Great light show from the summit, and the thunder really added to that last pitch. Most of it missed us, but we did get dumped on the last mile or so to the parking area. Another reason I'm a fan of early starts.
