  12. You might try the college climbing clubs too.
  13. Head out past Bonnie Springs, rt at the gass station towards Barstow, first valley on the left, follow powerline rd. Check map for land manager (BLM, FS . . . ) Come visit us in my camo tent at Little Afganistan "where the action is."
  14. I'm leading 5.10-(not strenuous) and 5.10sport. How many are you, where are you climbing, what vehicles? I'm out of Tacoma, Fliper has plenty of room. I'm thinking all day Sat and Sun.
  15. I'm looking for a parther or three for this wk-end. I'm trying to get in shape for Red Rocks next month. Go a head and give me a call before 8p.m. Seattle area code, 8 8l9-55sixl.
  16. Can't go wrong w/ Feathered Friends. One option would be to buy a FF overbag for your 15 deg. bag. That would give you three sleeping choices instead of two.
  17. I'll be in Red Rocks Nov. 9 - 30. Look for my Early Winters camo tube tent at the campground (AKA little Afganistan)
  18. I'll go.
  19. Yeah, goats like trundeling onto people. I can see the theisis now:"Passive/Aggressive Behavior in the North American Mountain Goat."
  20. Having fun, or training for the Alaska Mountain Wilderness Classic?
  21. Ditto for McClellan's and Wedge too. I can climb Fri-Sun. I would preffer to leave late Thur. I'm leary of doing anything technical unless the wx report tomorrow looks good, but I'm happy to go scrambling and go light for three short days.
  22. Sounds like fun. I was on the Tanner Tr, and farther up-stream (Paria and tributary) about this time last year and had a great time. I'm planning on heading down there again this fall/winter. I got back from working in Fairbanks two wks ago, visited family, and spend a wk sailing durring your slide show. How did it go? p.m. sent, drop me a line it you are interested in my company.
  23. Fun! The Pasayten was on my list for this fall, but here I am still in AK. Keep you eyes open for long winter trips, I'm sure I'll be heading out by then. Probalby the desert SW this late fall. Pine Martins: I made the mistake of sleeping under tree occupied by two such varmits in Yellowstone N.P. The chater kept me up all night!
  24. I saw an AK hiker w/ one (PLB). Very robust, 4 yr batterie life, 24 hr transmition time. His was made in Great Britain. A one-time investment vs the $100/ yr subscrition for SPOT.
