  1. Yeah, you're right. I guess my disdain for revision by opinion got the better of me. Sorry. I'll shut up now. Lector, I believe.
  2. Correction: Bolt Ladders are A1 unless they are french-freed, then they are A0. Link
  3. No, not whatever : History and consensus will show that bolt ladders are rated A0 and slotting nuts in pin scars would get a C rating. I agree with your opinion, however.
  4. I really hate to do this, but... Bolts aren't clean. The bolt ladder of City Park is A0. The crack of City Park is C0... about as straightforward steppin' in aiders as you can get without it being bolts you're clippin'. It doesn't get much more eloquent than that.
  5. ... arguably equal to that more southern range called the Sierra Nevada...

  7. If Trask was really fired, I'd help him try to find a job.
  8. The Anthrax cover of Hank Williams' "Your Cheatin Heart." Motley Crue covering "Love Potion Number 9" by The Searchers. Boston Philharmonics's 1986 cover of the Ramones "Talk Dirty To Me"
  9. William Shatner doing Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds has to be one of the more original covers (if that's possible) that I have ever heard. Or Leonard Nimoy's hatchet job of CCR's Proud Mary.

No man is so foolish but he may sometimes give another good counsel, and no man so wise that he may not easily err if he takes no other counsel than his own. He that is taught only by himself has a fool for a master. The edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

Who is the "they" you are talking about? The people posting on this thread? I am not responsible for doing the audits and reviews, so I don't know the whole story, but my guess is that not every application gets the third degree. Like most audits, there is probably a random sampling and varying degrees of depth. I'm saying there is accountability built into the system.
  13. I had occasion to see Fred's moves firsthand a few years back at the parking area for 3 O'Clock Rock. We had passed him and his very attractive partner a few hundred yards before the road. As we were sipping a cold one, he and his partner arrive at their car. Fred sidles over, says something like hey good job, gives her a hug and then grabs her ass. My friend Rob shot some suds out his mouth and I almost did the same out my nose. We feigned busyness as Fred was soundly repulsed with a shove and a slap on the shoulder. No luck for Fred, but boy was he smooth.
  14. Yeah, preterm ignition. I felt more and more stupid the further I read .

I've got the free/reduced lunch form application in front of me right now. Each application requires the social security number of the adult household member signing the application. Without one, the app doesn't get processed. The SSN is then used to "verify correctness of information on the application." (This includes the detailed information about income that is also required on the application.) The verification process is a mix of "audits, program reviews, and investigations that may include contacting employers to determine income" etc. Accountability is in the system already. "The school system has been abusing the lunch program for years." -Such rhetoric really has no basis in fact that I can see.

    Uh Oh Viggo M.

Numerous studies have shown that smoking more than doubles the chances of having a stroke.
  20. Amen to that. "We cannot expect people to have respect for law and order until we teach respect to those we have entrusted to enforce the laws." -HST
  21. Dana's arch went clean, (though Rob clipped the bolts on the first pitch). For the Zipper, two pins on the pitch above the scoop to the Perverse Traverse ledge, and I don't remember any being used above. It was a while ago, so the actual type is suspect in my memory, but they were LA/baby angle size.
  22. Is that you Brian? Anyway, I feel Dana's Arch to the top is unfairly eclipsed by it's more obvious neighbors to the east. A worthy route in my book. Also, the upper pitches of the Zipper, though a bit vegetated offer some good aid without the lines/crowds at a reasonable grade. Cummins' guide puts the pitches above the scoop a little to the right of where I believe they should be. Have fun.

I just find it interesting how you can say mean, hateful things in response to other peoples post, but when someone calls bullshit on yours you get all defensive and resort to name calling and this (see above) fantasy play stuff. Just seeking a little equilibrium there Trask old buddy. No need to take it so personally.

Because it's fun. You respond so well and almost never throw the hook.
