Hang in there Cracked
-
Matt offer some suggestions. I have not deleted or changed anything on this thread although I was sorely tempted. I have deleted several other posts in this forum and have not notified the poster. They knew they were spraying.

Good work LUCKY. Sorry I was a Doubting Thomas earlier! We all and esp me owe you a few beers! PP

Wow E I was thinking that yesterday while cleaning a pitch. I think somehwere in the middle is where you should aim for but it's hard to fight the impulse to really stick on in, so I confess to sometimes sticking it in too far. My partner claimed she was placing her cams that way because she didn't have enough slings and wanted to reduce the chance rope drag would mess up the placement. Not sure if I am convinced but in same cases that seems like a good point. PP

and if it's really cold the waterfall at Index!

Multi-pitch routes with harder and easier pitches

Nah you can always do the Connection or combine routes. But the question was actually not related to the suggestion to go to Squamish. -
Multi-pitch routes with harder and easier pitches

I agree with Dru but would also add that I think Squamish has such a great variety of routes that going there would be the best choice. Are the Bluffs open? PP -

Cracked - Here is the real scoop on being a dirtbag. You need a gf/bf to leach off. It has worked for hundred before you and hundreds after you become old and repsectable.

Dwayner Quote: And Petey....you claim that you understand my views, but you don't. I am not against all bolts, but I believe they should have VERY LIMITED application. In my view, any climb that is completely bolt-dependent is illegitimate. And I'm not interested in "debating" with you. I find you at least as boring as you find me. Again Dwayner is either grossly misunderstanding what people say or doesn’t care what they say. Since he has often told us how educated he is on many issues I feel safe in concluding that he is in fact doesn't give a damn about anyone else. I never claimed to understand his views. His argumentation is often confused and often carried on under various avatars. What I do claim to understand are some of the effects of his behavior. As far as debating although he has personalized it to me I think what he says is consistent with my assertion that he is not here to participate in any discussion. He is simply in these threads to scream and yell – to be a spoiler. Also I find it hard to believe that he considers routes such as Bachar-Yerian to be “illegitimate.” Whatever the heck he means by that!

Now that cc.com has been brought to the attention of the world due to Becks politicizing by allowing/giving Dwayner continued opportunities to spew are we not giving him the rope with which we are hung?
-
Actually no troll at all. Merely stating the obvious.

Ordered Monday;arrived today.

The issue at Cave was not really about bolts at all. Dwayner was either ignorant of this or he simply was forcing an opportunity to spew his nonsense. Either way "Dwayner" like actions are a disservice to the broader community. There have been several occasions when the governmental land managers have at the last minute changed their position due to behavior such as Dwayner’s. One specifically was in the development of the WA State umbrella climbing policy. The problem isn’t that the land managers are necessarily against bolting but see behavior such as Dwayner’s and think "heck easiest think is to end the debate by saying stopping the activity in question". The loud obnoxious voices trump the well behaved majority. To the extent Dwayner continually comments in a robotic non-responsive manner he is not participating in any discussion. If he is not participating, isn’t his presence here is merely giving him the opportunity to be a spoiler. PP

Well the complicated climber tracking tool (see first post) predicts crowds in the mountains. Static Point is the place to be. See you all on Fuddhat! PP -
Don't thin that NV fits the description! I would like to do some climbing up there to.
