last weekend we skied out of blackcomb one day (just to decker) and off of the duffy lake road (marriot basin?) another day. it was definitely better than sitting at home in seattle!
i guess i didn't go often enough. i was going to make a reservation for later this week and found out they have closed their doors forever. damnit!!! anybody have a comparable place they really like?
got this in my inbox today:
i'm not going to take the time to post the pics but the company touts itself as the first tele-specific clothing company.
www.flylowtelemark.com
i could really use something that will improve my tele turns. i'm thinking the pom pom hat ... or the underwear.
got a training program; problem is sticking to it. i tried this a couple of years ago and ended up quitting. i'm really a sprinter so the whole distance thing chews me up. i think i can do it this time, though.
thinking about running my first marathon. started training ... hoping to stick to it. just wondering if anybody else on here is maybe planning to run this and can help keep me motivated ... or maybe has in the past and has some helpful pointers.
thanks for the update on the conditions in leavenworth. (i just assumed it was a wash with the recent weather.)
btw, where's the fish hatchery? is that the icicle river trail or the waterfront trail or ???
that would be nice, but i wouldn't dust off the powder skis just yet. at the rate things are going, it would have to be a VERY big dump to amount to much more than groundcover.
