um ... okay, but only if you shave your legs.
-
umm ... what exactly is trundling? it sounds kind of fun ...

have you tried upgrading since then? i did at the time. checked for updates/upgrades/what-have-you, but it was all up-to-speed. even removed it all and cleaned a few things p and reinstalled new from their site and still had problems. it was probably just some strange virus that computer had but frustrating nonetheless, especially since everything else worked fine.

i used firefox almost exclusively for several months at home and work. i was pretty impressed ... until firefox started crashing on me. and it wasn't just every now and then like ie has in the past. it was 4-5 times/day! it didn't take long for me to switch back. sometimes i still use firefox but i'm not as gung-ho about it anymore. i really only miss the tabbing function ...

TLG.... are you sure on this one? I've heard that this increases the forces on your protection, and on you, when you fall. Maybe it's one of those things where you can do it, but it's not always optimum. yes, it does and it kind of defeats the purpose of buying half ropes to begin with ... but i believe you still *can* do it if for some reason you feel you really need to. maybe i'm wrong here, but i haven't really heard any super-convincing arguments to that effect.

i am not impressed by that statement ... which makes it sound like they think ropes are rated solely based on diameter. wtf? when i doubt about factual matters i would be inclined to put more trust in a disrtibutor than a salesperson. but anyway, the migu are half ropes. you can use halfs like twins if you want (and some people even use short sections as singles for some glacier and alipine stuff), but you should not use twins as halves. there have been at least a couple of threads in the past with more technical gibberish to explaining why. (pms sells migu and i'm sure they'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about them.)

so ... are you offering to take girlwhoboards climbing? (she really is a great girl! )
-
this from a guy who spend all of his time sitting in an office building in bellevue dreaming about climbing. (dreaming doesn't count!)
-
Well you did used to live in Colorado. please noe that i lived in telluride - not to be confused as being anywhere near summit county.
-
well, your best-man-to-be took a big dump on our dock and was doing his best to impress his lady friend with how much he could urinate in one go. if she's impressed by that type of behavior, i'd say let her go and find anotter.

wtf is wrong with me not wanting to boulder at the uw rock or marymoor? or not wanting to pay $15 to climb after work in a crowded gym? nothing, i say! girlwhoboards calls me a rock snob, but i'm actually all for REAL climbing (READ: with rope ) on REAL rock. i just don't have a luxuriously flexible schedule ... you know - real job and all ...
-
distel!!! those pictures are really spectacular. i hope you're having a wonderful time over there ...
-
actually, i've got TWO beavers!
-
i've been looking for a laptop for a while, waiting for a good deal. glad i waited ... since the new job came with one. free is the best deal of all! oh, yeah ... it's a dell.

ps - as for the ring, buddy should get a clue.

fuck that. sorry, but that was something to think about BEFORE going on the internet to find yourself a new (or additional) hookup. i agree with what someone else said - three years of engagement is definitely a sign that it's not going anywhere. or at least not anywhere good. move on and find yourself someone even worth fretting about ...
-
biscuit boulders harder than i do. i really enjoyed the talent contests during the intermission.
-
hmm. now i'm confused. i was actually wondering ... because they didn't have big tails like i thought a beaver was supposed to have. now i feel like an idiot. i got one picture but i forgot to zoom and then they jumped in the water and were goners. i do know there are local beavers, though. does anybody know if there are otters in union bay/lake washington?
-
good show last night. was worth the price of admission. saw mattp and garyyngve.
-
i would guess there's a good number of climbers who are add/adhd!
-
i saw two beavers on the dock outside my house this morning. at least, i think they were beavers. i've heard they live in the area but in the 4 on and off years i've lived there i'd never seen any!
-
moby dick (in the valley). my worst lead ever even though i made it the top. as jeff would say, AWFUL width ... especially for someone my size. it was ugly as all hell and i think i ended up leaving 2 nuts and 2 cams. (which some nice fellow later returned to me.)
-
girlwhoboards, you don't have to actually answer rumr's questions. he's definitely not your type. although ... he does have cute kids.
-
damn, snoboy ... how'd you get so smart??? (it took me a lot of searching because nothing came up with the part number, but see center console here: http://www.lambertauto.com/cherokee.htm!) this would explain why there is hot air blowing like crazy from the windshield, feet, and the parking brake areas! when i picked the car up from the tranny place they had left the console torn apart (since that's the way we gave it to them). i wasn't the one who took it apart so i had to put it back together on my own and had no idea that the funky tube was even part of the console. i guess i have some taking apart and reassembing to do now! and i owe snoboy a beer or two!

holy shit ... you guys have me laughing my ass off. i don't know even know if it's for the jeep since there were many other non-jeep things in the back as well. there is a part number for it - i'll give that a try. i love the other answers, though. the snake picture is REALLY great.
