  1. Sverdina and Squid approaching the North Ridge of Baker. Sverdina is tying his shoe. Aaron climbing at the Feathers. Another shot of Aaron, this time approaching the Success Cleaver last winter. A sunset picture taken in Kathmandu. God Bless pollution. The little speck in the left middle of the photo is actually a really big bird. Snoqualmie Falls with a long shutter just after sunset.
  2. Man... I'm game. I live in North bend, and am certainly up for either the quah or exit 38. Wouldn't mind heading to the pass when things get colder as well. Anybody have a bunch of coleman lanterns?
  3. Need insurance? Sounds like you need the help of TROJAN MANNN!!!! Just how short are you talking about?
  4. Well NO SHIT!
  5. I just discovered the world of Nimh batteries, like those for digital cameras etc. Give four times the power of alkaline batteries and you can recharge them 1000 times. Anybody have any experience with these?
  6. PS I didn't get a look at the N. Face, but I think (maybe) the NE buttress comes in first?
  7. Hiked up there to the base of NE Buttress on monday. Lots of ice up there, but looks very thin. You could definitely climb some ice up there, but I personally would wait a bit.
  8. How are the routes on chair doing?
  9. often times predrilling a hole then pounding in a pin holds better than a bolt.
  10. A little bird told me that Skinner did town crier on the same trip as he did city park. Looks like I'll have to shoot that little bird, shoot him dead. Twice!
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Todd Skinner do it years ago?
  12. Yeah thats Gabe. Frankly, you guys are bad asses.
  13. I work with a guy who claims to have jumped the index wall a couple dozen times over the summer. Saw a video of one of his buddies jumping and striking the cliff on his way down, too. I guess they all land on the railroad tracks, which has reportedly been sources of trouble (i.e. trains) more than once. Oy!
  14. Too bad you won't be in Moab where all the really cool people will be. Not only will there be bad ass climbing, but free beer and wet t-shirt contents. Too bad for you!
  15. yeah, shes hot. Ouch!
  16. season for some of those ain't over yet! How do you pronounce your name anyway?
  17. what about the pullout near there with the grave sight? creepy!
  18. Oh squid, squid, squid.... was it I, ,Mysticnacho, who doth brought about thy horrid failure and subsequent bitching? Nay! For it was thee! Listen close, fair cascadeclimbers, for there was a third climbing partner! And together, the duo found not Mount Stuart on foot nor car. They labored and toiled! But it was not to be. They , ate , hunted , and around in the swamp. Not I, though. I labored and sweated under the sheets, quite merrily, with my girlfriend. And frankly, kind sir, I had a much better time. So, poo on you, Squid!
  19. Oh yeah.... wildbillc definitely sounds like a girl.
  20. I did that trip for a little less than $1200 about a year and a half ago.
  21. Looks like I found my own answer on komo4.com..... approx 200 people climb lib ridge per year. Is that how many are successful or how many who attempt?
  22. Why would the rescuers start from curtis ridge? Are they going to traverse below the willis wall to look for bodies? On a seperate thought, anyone know how many people typically climb lib ridge in a year, compared to other routes? I wouldn't be surprised if it was third most popular behind the DC and emmons.
  23. Where do you put a yellow alien at exit 32?
  24. Personally, I always climb in a double set of latex gloves, OB kit, and a HEPA mask. Keeping a big box of spare gloves in your back pocket is key.
  25. A mid 1900's september is different than a 2004 september, with global warming and size of glaciers. Also remember that the first ascent party probably had bigger balls than all of us. I haven't done the route though, so what do I know? More power to ya though!
