Some Calgary-area kids get unpleasant Hallowe'en 'treat'
CALGARY (CBC) - Children who went trick or treating in the Strathmore-Strathford area Monday night are being asked to check their goody bags, after reports that some ghosts and goblins were given a small bag of feces.
RCMP Const. Doug Taylor says a number of parents have called to complain about the trick their youngsters received.
"Unfortunately, the kids didn't notice at the time, so we're not sure which house was giving it out," Taylor said. "We don't really consider it a prank, because there is some health issues here, with throwing this in with food children are potentially going to eat."
He says it's up to parents whether they discard all the candy their children collected.
Taylor says the feces was in plastic bags. Anyone with information is asked to call the Strathmore RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
