olyclimber Posted September 22, 2009 Author Posted September 22, 2009 no getting benighted on snowcreek wall or sleeping in the toilet for you this year! the camphost will be pleased.
mkporwit Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 ya'll gonna if i don't show? no one i know in pdx-land is making the trek and i'm stupid broke at the moment If you can make it to Seattle there's room in my car...
sobo Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 Starting to look like I might have to pull the D-ring on RU this year... D'oh! No WR of Prussik? Things are morphing again. The possibility of my presence is now increasing. My life is in a terrible state of flux right now. Highly fluid and dynamic. This could go on to the very last minute...
olyclimber Posted September 23, 2009 Author Posted September 23, 2009 I'll have costco dawgs like last year for Saturday night. Bring some food to share!
olyclimber Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 I picked up the dawgs...bring a pot to boil them in! seems like that is the tastiest way to prepare them. i also got buns, ketchup and mustard.
olyclimber Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 HAHHAHAHHAA FUNNY. Â Â Some things to bring: Â 1. Something to share for eating on Saturday night. 2. Stove and pot to boil some Costco polish sausages Sat. night 3. Can anyone bring a really long extension cord? Need to keep the generator out in the woods. 4. FIREWOOD! 5. If you have pictures you want to show of the Enchantments/Stuart, bring them. We'll have a laptop. I think Wayne might be showing his movies, and telemarker will be showing some pics. As time permits, we'll show other stuff. We'll start around dusk or so. Â Don't forget that Sol & Co. are showing tomorrow night. that will be a very cool show of new quality local climbing, don't miss it. 10pm tomorrow night. Â Â
olyclimber Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Also important, I should be posting some details as to the parking situation. We need to fully cooperate with the camphosts parking requirements. I'll post them as soon as I get them.
olyclimber Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Unfortunately the camp host isn't available till tomorrow. Â However, here are some basic rules regarding parking: Â 0. No parking on vegetation! This is extremely important. Â 1. If you park in the group campsite, an easement or pathway MUST remain for an emergency vehicle to drive by to get to the campsite. This means NO blocking of the road into the campsite. Â If necessary, drive in and drop your camp gear off, then go move your car up to the main road shoulder above the campsite. DO NOT CAMP ON THE CAMPGROUND ROAD BY THE OTHER CAMPSITES (non Group camp). Â 2. There will be a limit as to the number of cars that can park at the actual campsite. We may ask you to move your car at some point. Â 3. Stephanie is a Forest Service person that will may be helping to sort out the parking situation. If she asks you to move your car or whatever, do it! Â 4. The camphost will probably be up checking things out. If he seems upset or wants things changed, then notify me please! Â 5. If you see anyone breaking the above rules, set them straight!
olyclimber Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Additional rules: Â No rearranging the campsite. 1. No moving the picnic tables 2. No moving the firerings. Â All this is basic common sense anyway! Â If someone one walks into the campsite looking for me, please either take a message if i'm not there, or lead them to me. Â Thanks!
YocumRidge Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 Does not seem I gonna make it, everyone I know is too domesticated to spend 5 h on driving.  We also should be having another event in the near future: The Return of the Sausage: CC.com Sausagefest Strikes Back  Are females allowed?
olyclimber Posted September 25, 2009 Author Posted September 25, 2009 oh yes! its just called sausage fest because it is normally held at a Sausage Place! Usually at least one girl shows up.
