Stefan Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 (edited) Mr. Tackle said this: 1. The boots will take Super Gaiters no problem. The rand attachments will be very secure, although I always end up gluing mine on so they don't come off. I also glue my supergaiters to the boots. I use hot glue. Is there a different preference for glue that works better than hot glue for supergaiters? Edited January 8, 2003 by Stefan Quote
Greg_W Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 People seem to rave about this Seam Grip stuff. Quote
cj001f Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 I use a little barge cement (normally used to adhere soles to boots) Works better than seam grip(though it's similar) - haven't tried Skin glue. Carl Quote
Jarred_Jackman Posted January 9, 2003 Posted January 9, 2003 Barge Cement is the best, I've tried others and this will keep the gaiters on for a year of activity if you get out on a moderate to often basis. It's messy though, and it'll get you high I think. Quote
Stefan Posted January 16, 2003 Author Posted January 16, 2003 I went to Home Depot. Nobody knew what Barge cement was. Where in this megastore would I find this? Plumbing? Painting? ???????? Quote
Dru Posted January 16, 2003 Posted January 16, 2003 If you are "having" supergaiters I would think an immediate Caesarean section would be the approved technique. Quote
pms Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 Stefan, Waterproof contact cement, many brands. Quote
catbirdseat Posted January 17, 2003 Posted January 17, 2003 How about this? Ascension Gold Label Adhesive http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?productId=57710&storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&langId=-1&addon=671633-459078 Quote
