Conflating issues/ideas isn't necessarily a bad thing when there is ground for doing so. Disingenuously doing so is however not something that one wants to do if one is interested in presenting an honest and logical argument. Slagging on vaccination refuseniks has virtue but pretending that it allows the punching of people weary of pesticides in their food is disingenuous.
