John Frieh Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 Here is a picture taken 2 days before your ascent. Taken by Matt B. http://www.nwhikers.net/forums/download.php?id=24e4d1627781ea96f5e260248255326c&p=766315 Nice work guys. I'd be super curious to see what line on the above picture you climbed. Quote
whinckley Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Here's Matt B.'s photo with the line we took in red. Will Quote
downey Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 thanks for coming up with a definitive answer on the line we took, will. lot's more to do out there (obviously). i'm curious what other lines will someday be put up on this thing... GET PSYCHED Quote
wayne Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 I think you guys did the NW Face possibly? At any rate great effort! There is an overhanging finish at the top, and to the right, How did that look? Touching down? Quote
downey Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 wayne, here's a crappy pic of Will's ass and the steepest northern aspect of Sloan ('at the top and to the right' from where we unroped after the first crux pitches). I looked over there and couldn't spot a continuous line through that part of the wall. The ice features seemed to dead end into formidable and sketchy looking dry tooling. Don't let this dissuade you though.. maybe with fatter conditions and/or some high end mixed skills. Quote
