allthumbs Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 That's right Jon, and I'll even remove my teeth and let you place your pint on my head. Quote
Beck Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 ...Since I've been waiting in line for one of those, it looks like some variation of stealth fighter that've been flying around Fallon NAS for the last 15-20 years! Can't say I'll win the prize, though!!! Quote
iain Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 hard to say w/o frame of reference. show an image with the ground in view. Quote
iain Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 I smell model glue. Have a good weekend folks I'm going home after that beer thread! Quote
Beck Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 engine cowling's way funky, ya. Gettin high on huffers-specifically an adolescent perversion, so many hobbies of youth bearing hazards- painting lead figurines (remember licking the brush?) shop, rocketry, extremely unsafe boating/climbing practices, not to mention mumblety peg! Oh the days of youth! Quote

neversummer Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 Given that fighter planes dont normally fly around with their landing gear down im guessing a model airplane... Quote
vegetablebelay Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 quote: Originally posted by neversummer: Given that fighter planes dont normally fly around with their landing gear down im guessing a model airplane... Well, since these pics were probably taken at Area 51 while the stealth fighter was being tested, the spies could only catch them as they were coming in or going out.... Quote
Beck Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 You'd see these strange flying peaky backed kinda pyramid shaped delta wing jet planes prowling around the high deserts Basin and Range country of central Nevada back when I lived in those boonies back in 86-87. We figured they were flying out of Fallon Naval Air Station (I'm sure you rotor heads know how a NAS got to be stationed in East off the Sierra Nevada crest in WWII, anybody?) But that's unrelated to seeing these WACKY planes tooling low over the pinon at twilight- you'd see them if you were out there enough. Quote
eric8 Posted October 26, 2002 Posted October 26, 2002 or maybe the landing gear was down while testing so the good guys could keep it on radar. I guess will never know. Quote
Fence_Sitter Posted October 28, 2002 Posted October 28, 2002 i'm guessing mabe A-10? dah wedge! where's ma prize? [ 10-27-2002, 10:18 PM: Message edited by: Fence Sitter ] Quote
Anna Posted October 28, 2002 Posted October 28, 2002 That is not an A-10! If it is, the military has a new A-10 wedge and we don't know about it. I can't even begin to guess on that shittin thing.... Here is however the lusty A-10..beautiful... Will Trask go down if a chic guesses it? Or can girls get hummers? Quote
