tvashtarkatena Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Regarding the 'budget battle': Despite all the chest puffing, the Tea Party knows that deflation...of their mandate, that is, has set in. The R's know that Obama will be re-elected, even if the Tea Party hasn't gotten the word, so that's not really at stake. The Wisconsin clusterfuck, an improving economy, Middle Eastern reform movements, a thin but wide roster of some highly mutated Presidential candidates, and an embarrassing array of bizarre Bagger sponsored initiatives aimed at trashing Hispanics, women, and a whole raft of other huge voting populations are rapidly shifting the momentum towards the D side of the legislative ballot next time around. Meanwhile, Obama, being the savvy politico he is, is pre-emptively co-opting the Bagger's deficit reform message...as if that was what this was ever about. Overshoot often leads to a turkey shoot, and this latest budgetary street theater seems to be no exception. The public doesn't seem to view the budgetary cock fight in a kind light. At all. Clearly, one side has been more verbally stalwart (while predictably caving), pushed by a more politically naive, poorly informed, and uncompromising base. Payback's a bitch. Get a bunch of angry, self centered jerks to vote for you and that's who you're stuck with, I guess. Reap what you sow and all that.... Quote
Sam Furley Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 The actual intelligent American citizens knew this country was doomed as soon as Obama was elected to office.. unfortunately, intelligence was in too short of supply. Free health-care and government handouts were too much for the freeloaders to resist. Yet Obama has not accomplished a single thing he promised to during his campaign - not ONE! Guantanamo is still alive and well, no new jobs have been created, no windfall profit tax has been imposed on oil companies, he hasn't "cut taxes to 95% of workers and families", hasn't made the R&D tax credit permanent, hasn't eliminated capital gains taxes on entrepreneurs and investors in small businesses, hasn't cut pork barrel spending, hasn't made government spending more accountable and efficient, hasn't reduced health care costs for the average family. The list goes on. Yet the dumb-ass freeloaders who voted him in stand behind him unwaveringly. Three years into Obama's presidency, undoubtedly the worst administration in the history of the United States, it's mind-boggling how anybody in their right mind could still support an administration that has done nothing it promised to back in 2008. But go ahead, keep on blaming everyone else for these shortfalls and meanwhile, keep on not doing a damn thing to make things any better except bitching and moaning like a bunch of little babies. And while you're at it, how about you take a little hope and change and shove it up your ass. Mmmkay? Quote

billcoe Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 The mans going to get you some healthcare for Gods sake Sam. Besides, he got us out of Iraq didn't he? What? He didn't? Well he wanted too. That's the thing. Good intentions. Just like agreeing to approving, in advance, the Bush tax cuts on the wealthy. They were set to expire Pat, they are no longer the Bush tax cuts, they are the Obama tax cuts for the wealthy, done with a full on demo congress and senate. What amazes me, is people who diss on the repubs thinking that they are somehow different than the dems. As I see it - all that shit Bush brought to the table: Obama is serving up second helpings on. Same-Same. Not different. The actual intelligent American citizens knew this country was doomed as soon as Obama was elected to office.. unfortunately, intelligence was in too short of supply. Sam Furley Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 You're part of what's wrong with this country, Roberto, so your opinion is absolutely meaningless to me. Care to address any of the actual points made in my post specifically, or is it easier for you to just avoid it all by engaging in a stroking session with your socialist comrades? You're hereby free to go back to your mutual felching session with tvashtarkacumgurgler. Now go. Now Ivan, you undoubtedly would have a problem with someone shoving their religious ideals down your throat, and I'm quite sure you'd openly cry about it, yet you're obviously the type who is quick to bash religious ideals every chance you get - thereby shoving your ideals down everyone else's throats just the same. A bit hypocritical, don't you think? Or do you think? Or is it only a big deal when it happens to you? Quote
rob Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 The sperm must have come out of your ears. That's how the brain damage happened, I think. Quote

j_b Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 The mans going to get you some healthcare for Gods sake Sam. Besides, he got us out of Iraq didn't he? What? He didn't? That's a damn shame but it should be no surprise to anyone who reads my posts. I must say that although he didn't get us out of Iraq, he didn't get us into Iraq. Bush and his supporters (including you) got us into Iraq, if you care to remember for a minute. Quote
Sam Furley Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Oh sure, the same old partisan finger-pointing game.. rich. If you're not with us, you're against us, right? If you didn't support A, you supported B. Maybe that's part of the problem, you (and people like you) can't think outside the box. How about this novel idea j_b.. there are more than two different sets of ideals. Quote
KaskadskyjKozak Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 What gives the homophobic crap, Rob? I thought you lefties were supposed to be against this? Quote

Care to address any of the actual points made in my post specifically, or is it easier for you to just avoid all the hard work (like actually thinking) by engaging in a stroking session with your socialist comrades? Sure. I did address your point. Anybody who thinks that the O'bomba administration is "undoubtedly the worst administration in US History" is just spouting complete hyperbolic nonsense and I think you have brain damage. And I called you on it. That doesn't make me a socialist (although maybe I am.) For the record, I think Obama is a total failure and I want my money back. Be that as it may, your comment still make syou sound like a clueless idiot, and I'm not going to let that go until you admit it. Edited April 11, 2011 by rob Quote
Sam Furley Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 You didn't address anything, you just asked me if I studied history much. Well you're certainly entitled to your opinion, Rob. It doesn't hurt my feelings. I would urge you to consider this, though: I didn't vote for Obama, so who's the retard? Be honest with yourself. You're a typical socialist, freeloading hypocrite. It shows in all your other 30,000 posts just like it does in this thread. Quote

How about this novel idea j_b.. there are more than two different sets of ideals. Changing opinion about wars of aggression because it has become too expensive for your pocket book doesn't confer anybody ethical high ground. Moreover, to assess the sincerity of such conversion, we'll have to wait for at least one presidential cycle. Quote
rob Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) oooh, 30,000. More exageration! I'm noticing a trend, here. I think that's the same technique Glen Beck uses. Oh sure, the same old partisan finger-pointing game.. rich. If you're not with us, you're against us, right? If you didn't support A, you supported B. suuuuure, that's why you're so obviously respectful of people who don't share your conservative beliefs. You're funny. A much better troll than FW. rob Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Hyperbole is great when you don't actually have any substantive points, isn't it? Many talk radio hosts have made an entire career out of that. Quote
prole Posted April 11, 2011 Author Posted April 11, 2011 Damn, I didn't think there were any of you types left since Whorebama's been so busy implementing, ahem, "preemptively co-opting" your economic program. What's on the next episode of "When Fringe Kooks Go Mainstream..."? Quote
Sam Furley Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 ~5200 Under your "Rob" avatar. 25,000 under others? I presume. I'm respectful of everyone unless thee give me a reason to not be. Another fan of Republican Healthcare: "If you get sick, die quickly" aren't you ashamed of yourself? I've been sick before, and I'm not dead yet. Get a job with health care and quit complaining. Oh yeah, there aren't any jobs any more. Sorry. Neither I, or the rest of the taxpayers, owe you anything if you get sick in the same way that your employer doesn't owe you if your car breaks down and you can't make it to work. Quote
j_b Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I didn't vote for Obama, so who's the retard? it's nothing compared to voting for Bush then claiming that Obama is a socialist. That is legit retarded. Obama led a very deceptive campaign, probably among the most deceptive ever. Quote
