WASHINGTON — Medicare will remain financially solvent for 12 years longer than projected a year ago — until 2029 — because of the cost-cutting measures in President Obama’s recently enacted health care legislation, the program’s trustees reported on Thursday.

Just read a New Yorker article by a doc who concludes that we could probably take up to 25% off our national health care bill by cutting back on expensive, last minute therapies for terminal patients that statistically don't even extend their life...and surely fuck the quality of life during their final days.

 

Most people want to die in a cozy environment surrounded by loved ones. Most people actually die alone in a hospital bed because their unwilling to make the right choices up front to make their wishes a reality.
