I saw him live, and he was truly one of the greats, but that clip musta' been during his "I'm too fucked up to see, much less hear myself" days. Check him out here at the 1982 Montreax Jazz festival when he was still pretty much unknown. Not too shabby on the bass there either, Mr. Tommy Shannon!
