Peter_Puget Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 This post is just so wrong...in so many ways Quote
AlpineK Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 I'm very disappointed I thought this was about baseball and Fairweathers love of Boston Quote
Dechristo Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Well, the Red Sox did it. I'm gonna try to get tickets to Game Five, a week from tonight in Denver. Quote
Choada_Boy Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Red Sox score wampum points, win game. Quote
crazy_t Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 Great game, should be a fun series. Quote
Dechristo Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Ticket sales for the three Denver home games was suspended this morning when servers crashed due to over eight million hits in less than an hour and one half. Quote
No. 13 Baby Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Pretty impressive for a team whose stadium was 43% empty during the regular season! Quote
No. 13 Baby Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 OMG TEH SOX THEY ARE STARTING!!!!!!!!!!11 Quote
AlpineK Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I'm going to laugh if the world series goes into November. Mr October won't be good enough. Quote

No. 13 Baby Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Wasn't even close, all season long . . . Quote
Dechristo Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 The Rockies swept their way into the Series and were promptly swept out. Quote
Dechristo Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Wasn't even close, all season long . . . Surely, you don't refer to this season when, earlier, Colorado took two out of three games from Boston in Fenway and, in the process, handed Josh Becket his first loss of this season. Quote

Yes, I suppose you're right . . . Beckett's pitching really suffered after that hugely significant series, putting the Sox in a tailspin from which they never quite recovered, not to mention demoralizing them when they faced the Rockies the rest of the season. olyclimber Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 One of the more crappy World Series I've seen. I prefer it when there is actual drama as to who is going to win. Four games and out Hopefully Arod will leave the Yankees and join the Red Sox so that they can complete their evolution into the Yankees North. That Theo Epstein is a shrewd bastard though. Quote
No. 13 Baby Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 “If someone wants to compare us to the Yankees based on winning and results, that’s an incredible standard,” Red Sox General Manager Theo Epstein said. “If they want to compare us to the Yankees in how we do things, that’s a little off-base.” Quote
