ken4ord Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I never unstood running with your bike. I, myself prefer riding. That said I would really like a cross-bike (or a 29er) for riding all the dirt roads through out the country side here. Quote
Couloir Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 It's the best workout (aside from perhaps a good crossfit workout) you'll get in 45-60 minutes. Cycling, running, getting the hell beat out of you...it has everything! Quote
NTM Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 my favorite from last saturday's race at marymoor: Fk-rvdS_UME Quote

Couloir Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 There are definitely some bad-ass gals that race. At Estacada in 2006, the steep and muddy off-camber hill (in the video above) was especially brutal to the ladies. No matter how careful they were coming down it, most of them fell...and fell hard. We were standing near where the worst section was and when they fell they hit so hard the ground shook. To add insult to injury, the crowd at the bottom would hold up signs rating their falls. If they crashed near them they'd get showered in beer. Had kind of a gladiator feel to it with all the jeering and cat calls. Outrageous! Quote
Choada_Boy Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 I take my pedals off and run while on my bike. It's way radder than cyclolame. Quote
John Frieh Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 It's the best workout (aside from perhaps a good crossfit workout) you'll get in 45-60 minutes. Cycling, running, getting the hell beat out of you...it has everything! If you want to crush at cyclocross (or for that matter whatever sport you choose) starting doing crossfit to train for it. You will see huge gains in your performance within a month. Guaranteed. And speaking of awesome spectator sports if you enjoy seeing people suffer and you are PDX based come by the lab this Saturday at either 8:30 am or 1 pm... we're doing a workout (5 minutes of work, 1 minute of rest, 3 rounds) that will result in at least one person getting introduced to our close friend pukie before it is over. At least one. And we're raising money for prostate cancer research! Quote
