Dechristo Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I call fraud. You are, self-admittedly, olyclimber. Not vantageclimber. moderators, please pull this post. Quote

kevino Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 It was pretty windy on sunday. But thats what it is always like during the spring! Quote
Blake Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I like the No-B.S. OlyClimber style of TRs. Looks fun guys. How did you make that "VANTAGE" picture? Quote
olyclimber Posted February 19, 2007 Author Posted February 19, 2007 it was really warm saturday afternoon. sunday was only chilly when the sun went behind a cloud and the wind was blowing. it was great weather for climbing. blake, that picture was made by setting a very long exposure, and then "painting" the letters in reverse with an LED headlamp facing the camera (on a tripod). it took a couple of tries, but with the sun going down early we were just passing the time. sobo Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 I'm no rocket scientist (no argument there) or photographer, but how come the guy holding the LED light doesn't show up? I know you had to have a long exposure time, and you'd be working somewhat quickly moving the light and stepping across the field of view, but how come he doesn't even show up as a dark smudge across the background? You can see the sagebrush clearly in the background across the whole range of the frame. What am I missing here? Nice TR and pics, BTW. Quote
olyclimber Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 i was moving pretty quickly and didn't stay in one place long enough for any light to hit me so i didn't show up in the picture. The only reason you can see the bushes is the pax and jeff were shining their headlamps on them. Quote
sobo Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 ...The only reason you can see the bushes is the pax and jeff were shining their headlamps on them. Ah! Thanks. Nice pic of the "Drill Sargeant" - creative. Quote
sobo Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 :lmao: It had to happen sooner or later. Especially nice crop job on the chin strap buckle there, oly. Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 she's almost as attractive as the shirtless pasty-white clammy dude sporting some extra baggage around the waist who was hanging around sunshine wall on saturday. Quote
