KaskadskyjKozak Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Reichert took the food off the table of someone who could not touch him in any capacity, just for what? She took food off her own table. You can't act that way in her position, period. If she were a private citizen in her own car, off the job, there would be no problem. Quote
catbirdseat Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Here are the facts. By the time Reichert got around to making the call and the ensuing phone tag, the driver had aready lost her job. She had bragged about her deed and that is what ultimately cost her her job. I just heard that she has a new job as a substitute driver in the Renton District. Quote

tvashtarkatena Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 Some other form of disciplinary action would have been more commensurate with the infraction. What an overly sensitive world we live in... Quote
Fairweather Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 If the driver of a bus full of children shows the middle finger to Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or even John F Kerry, that driver should be fired. Period. If that same driver issues the same physical proclamation from her personal vehicle on the way home from work she should be applauded for celebrating her first ammendment rights - but may wish to seek professional help to keep such public outbursts under control. archenemy Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Wonder why no one brought up the whole 'freedom of expression' arguement. Certainly adults are free to express themselves even in the presense of the precious little innocents. Quote
underworld Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 yes, but there are consequences. geeez!! if you are on the clock - you don't have the same liberties. if she put a cross up on the dashboard of the bus - what would people be saying Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 They might tell her to take it off and give her a warning. There are plenty of options that do not involve causing someone to loose their livelyhood. Quote
underworld Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 sounds like there WAS a history of this sort of behavior in which she did get warnings for. read the article. Quote
