Choada_Boy
Looks more like a paraglider than a parachute, so probably not a BASE jump, IMHO.

Jake_Gano
We watched them takeoff... they're gliders, not jumpers.
Mr._Natural
I see the Larches are blowing up already.
still_climbin
I ran into a guy carrying a paraglider up the approach route in August. His load was HUGE! I can't imagine that they climbed West Face NEWS with a load like that. The two in the posted photo don't appear to have any load the size of the one I saw. downfall
The glider and the west face climbers are two different groups, those pictures were taken within probably 30 seconds of each other.

still_climbin
Damn,I'd like to do that crack! Thanks for sharing the pics.
Off_White
Eric, don't let the 10d/11a rating put you off, the hard part is relatively short and the crack is good, you could always french free or aid the 20 feet or so of hard stuff, then have nothing harder than 10a or so in the rest of the crack. You could also use my approach, which was to bring along the ropegun. Â Nice pics Downfall, thanks for sharing.
