Dave_Schuldt Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 Gather and drink to AlpineK's fast recovery. Where should we go? He seems to like fern bars..... We haven't been to Nectar in Fremont, they have good food and outside seating. Or should we go to some dive like the Sloop? Or a hippie bar like the Big Time where it's String Cheese night; that's Kurt's all time favorite band. Quote
marylou Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 While it is, in his words, a yuppie fuck fuck bar, seems to me he likes sitting outside with all his peeps on a hot summer day at the Ballroom. While I think Big Time is the right idea, that outside seating aspect has a certain seasonal appropriateness to it.... Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted June 27, 2006 Author Posted June 27, 2006 So I'm ready to call it at the Ballroom on Leary in Fremont. If there's not much intrest we can try 7/11 Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I can probably make it. That way you can make fun of me for not skiing at all this month. Quote
olyclimber Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Hey Sky, when are you having another SkyKilo Pubclub. Â That last one was pretty good. Quote
Gary_Yngve Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I'll be able to hang out until 10PM. It's been a while since I've seen a lot of you. Quote
mattp Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 If I might be so bold as to propose a pubclub hijacking, I would say that my back yard is a very nice place to enjoy the sunset and you all would be welcome to come over and sit on our back deck this evening. It'd be a garden pubclub. Â It's a long way from Ballard, as I live in NE Seattle over near NOAA/Sand Point/Magnuson Park, but Dave Schuldt could ride here via the Burke Gillman (two blocks away) and folks could bring their six packs instead of paying $14.00 for a pitcher. Â I'll post a link to directions if you folks might be so inclined. Quote
mattp Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Oh yes. I have a couple of barbeque grills and for those not so inclined to drink beer on a Tuesday night, we could have some ice tea with mint leaves plucked out of the garden. How yuppie is that? Quote
TrogdortheBurninator Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Sounds great Matt. BTW, the 75 bus goes very close to Matt's house for all of you carless folks that are too lazy to ride a bike (like me). Quote
Weekend_Climberz Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I'm there dude. Â Might even bring the better half Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted June 27, 2006 Author Posted June 27, 2006 Matt's place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
mattp Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 OK then, here's a map. You'll need it, as we live on a screwy street, and our house is out of order on the block. Â Â 7:00 - 11:00 or so. Â I'll have some salad or something, and if you wanna eat some meat bring a sausage or steak or tofu or whatever floats your boat. Quote
skykilo Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Hey Sky, when are you having another SkyKilo Pubclub. Â That last one was pretty good. Â The key element of the skykilo pubclub is spontaneity. Quote
tanstaafl Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 The key element of the skykilo pubclub is spontaneity. Â and ruffians. don't forget the ruffians. Quote
mattp Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Everybody bring their best tie dye and we can pose for a picture to put on a get well card for Kurt. He loves tie dye. Quote
Jens Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Anyone looking for a carpool partner to the party? I gotta take my car in to the shop today. Quote
marylou Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Kurt's expecting pictures tomorrow. I spoke with him (or should I say he chatterboxed at me! Jeez!) and he wants to see pictures. He said he might not be able to make it because it's really hard to find Matt's house, and it was agreed that pictures might be a better way to go. Quote
