EWolfe Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 First one is cool! Last one looks like you just finished a bowl of something. Quote
mattp Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 We think you're special too. (That first one IS really cool, and I like the mukluks...) Quote
foraker Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Dude, just a warning: There seem to be these little furry critters there that clamp on to any appendage sticking out of your clothes. Some sort of Mongolian parasite or sumpin'. Might wanna keep that in mind next time you heed the call o' nature. Quote
knotzen Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 you suck and I hate you too...except some of you, like the parts that took the purty pictures Quote
ZimZam Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Your picture of the moon and landscape is great. Quote

jstone Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 the second one needs Mark Hamill standing watching the two moons of Tantooine. Sweet pics. Quote
Distel32 Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 thanks I think the one with the frozen spring is the best pic I've taken in awhile.....it probably looked really funny because I was laying down on the ice with the camera about 5" from the ice trying to take the pic without my breath getting in the photo Quote
magellan Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Seriously, what are you doing in Mongolia? Quote
ken4ord Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Seriously, what are you doing in Mongolia? Looks like he is taking purty pictures, wearing dead animals, and driving on some Chinese moto bike renacting the Thunder Dome. Quote
Distel32 Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 I go to school here for now. And I have like 47 jobs.....I'm living, same as you are doing in the states. It isn't very strange..... We were doing 24hr radio tracking. so we had to sit at that radio tower for 24hrs straight taking readings every 10mins. It was brutal, day -18C, night -30C.....just that little rock wall and quite a few sheep skins. Yeah the skins for the hat were a gift from the director of the culture and language school at the National University, who also happens to be my teacher and my GF's father, martes foina, so warm Quote
jon Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Is that the 10.5 Nikon Fisheye? How you liking it? Quote
Distel32 Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 love it, just experimenting now, first time I took it out. You really need a lot of contrast/DOF/and color in your pics, or else the effect gets washed out. I took some pics that you seriously couldn't even tell were taken with a fisheye, they are still cool, but aren't quite as good. The AF motor is loud as hell, I was psyched the way the pics above turned out though Quote
Distel32 Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 russian motorcycle, two stroke. chinese bikes suck, you need to start a fire under them for them to start in the morning, the russians are two strokes, they start right up in the morning Quote
ALLCAPS Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 I BET YOU HAVE TWO STROKES. THAT IS ABOUT IT. Quote
Distel32 Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 don't get angry that you can't create a fictional character to amuse others, that is nobody's fault but your own. Quote
