Dru Posted May 16, 2001 Share Posted May 16, 2001 Yeah, it's "Roland Pauligk" that is the correct spelling - as in the Pauligk Pillar in Red Rocks. But everyone knows it really means Really Pathetic pro. Back in the day they recommended placing clusters of 5-6 of them so if you lobbed onto them the first four or five would probably break wires or pull but that would absorb enough energy (like a screamer) that the 6th one would stop you. I prefer to toprope, rather than beat the rock into submission in the name of "leading" on rap-placed bolts. If you rap bolt, then "RP" stands for real puss.
