cj001f
incredible - glad dude's okay - the girly pony-tail definetly loses it's coolness when accelerating at 9.8 m/s2 Are you corrupting our children with that heinous metric system? NYC007
yeah the pony tail is not fitting him so well... But anyway I know the guy and his GF ( belayer..), Last I heard he is doing fine, but the piece he fell on was a trango cam (old type) that blew out. jefffski
glad he is ok. although he did not hit his head, wearing a helmet would not have made a difference here, it was pretty close. Â i also noticed the belayer--is she trying to take up the slack? kind of hard with her hand facing up that way. Â if she is not taking up slack it sure takes her a long time to lock off the belay. Â let's be careful out there

Chriznitch
yeah there are certainly some things to learn from her belaying...seems like she was more concerned with getting out of the way than locking off. Natural instinct when someone is flying at you of course.

Cobra_Commander
yeah but if you look closely in the photo you will see this guy is not an octopus, which would be a prerequisite to place and subsequently clean this pitch with tricams. Â it would be funny to see tricams to 1" in a guidebook though.
