passed a boeing truck on my way to lunch - he was carrying an airplane engine on his flat bed... millions and millions of $$$... i looked over as i passed and he was using both hands to open a candy bar.

Probably doesnt meet the crash test standards. It is imparative that we all drive huge fucking vehicles for our own safety, not to mention the fabulous gas mileage that keep us so dependent. I must admit, I'd be a bit nervous driving one of these on the interstate with a hummer breathing down my neck

They actually have a very good crash test result. They have a very strong passenger compartment. I don,t think that mercedes thinks that the U.S. market is ready for them yet.

I heard it was due to emissions standards.... the American cars would die of embarassment and shame when compared to the Smart

They have a tiny diesel motor, I don't know the displacement but they go 120 klics down the highway.

That was it, Dru. They actually have a sporty version that I'd sign on for. I wouldn't worry too much about the Hummers. Everyone seems to drive them like they paid way too much for them. :-P

Wilst travelling to the 'ham on my moto, Ive caught some pretty stiff winds ripping through the skagit valley, just north of burlington that would put this thing on its roof. You guys seem to know quite a bit about this little bundle of joy, any gvw figures?
