Kraken
right on, that's bad ass. BASE Jumping is one of the things I fully intend on getting involved in, in the near future.
Lowell_Skoog
Wow. I thought BASE jumpers took off with some sort of pilot chute in one hand, so they can just let go of it. I guess not. Maybe that's old school. BASE jumping is one of the things I fully intend on NOT getting involved in. Cool pictures though.
AllYouCanEat
...like a fly to the flame; on the one hand so attractive while on the other, so petulant. At least when fate or bad luck swats you, its pretty much a done deal. I figure when I get older, I'm gonna take up a sport like hang gliding or sky diving, something nice and dangerous with a pretty remote chance of my screwing up putting me in the hospital. Now that I think about it, I'm not doing anything very different right now. Hmm, maybe I'll take it up sooner . Clampooner
Cool pics. I've thought about how nice it would be to avoid the boring descent by bringing a chute on some climbs. What's with the helmet? Isn't that kinda like wearing a cup in a gun fight?
Dechristo
What's with the helmet? Isn't that kinda like wearing a cup in a gun fight? Depends on how long the barrel of your gun.

chris
Wow. I thought BASE jumpers took off with some sort of pilot chute in one hand, so they can just let go of it. I guess not. Maybe that's old school. Completely depends on how much fall time before the chute needs to be deployed.
