jordop
Boys at Doglotion skiied this 3200' cooler in Garibaldi Park. Looks like Pyramid Mtn maybe. I'll take that off the list as a CLIMB now Though I doubt it's 3200
skykilo
Sweet line, BUT! Judging from the size of the trees there's no way that thing's bigger than 1500; I'd guess 1200. Got a topo?
skykilo
maybe pushing 2k, but I really doubt it. Â nevertheless, AWESOME LINE. Edited March 2, 2005 by skykilo
snoboy
The url for the picture says Mt. Atwell, but I can't think what face it might be. Does kind of look like the W(?) side of Pyramid.
jordop
It's the NW face of the north summit of Spire Peak at the head of the Pitt River, east of the Neve. It IS 900m topo attached
Dru
did they ski the big diagonal one, or the skinny twisty one on the right?
jordop
I'm gonna say the left one unless they really wanted to rap that rock band at the top of the rh one

jordop
That's Bad Ass Don't you know you can't ski something until it's been climbed first by a party of crusty old men in wool pants!
philfort
Valley floor is at 3500ft, so I guess those could be really big trees down there... Â Very nice line....
dberdinka
It's the NW face of the north summit of Spire Peak at the head of the Pitt River, east of the Neve. Â Anytime I hear the name Pitt River I think impossible to access. Is that the case here as well? Sounds like one hell of an effort! Â And what in the heck is doglotion??? jordop
Pitt River, think Mines of Moria There was this wicked thread on clubtread.com that talked about how scary the Upper Pitt is, someone suggesting it would be foolish to travel its upper reaches without a large gun (http://clubtread.com/sforum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9438&SearchTerms=pitt,river) Â doglotion.com is the Whistler scene couch surfing/sick lines blog
skykilo
Well, I guess I once again stand corrected. Â SWEET!
skykilo
But in my defense, Â I count 600m as what I would call the couloir proper --> 2k' Â The runout and runin --> another thousand. Â Hafta give a looksee to this doglotion thing. Thanks for posting a picture of a sweet, sweet line J.

Zoran
Great skiing! Do you think we should take of the CLIMB list everything what is skied in Cascades, Alaska, BC and more (from Denali to Rainier or Everest)? If guys continue like this they will ski Squamish Chief too by the 2010.
Dru
John Chilton skiied the East Face of Tantalus a few years ago  That is fully rock for most of the year nowadays!
jordop
I think the sickest thing remaining now that Siberian Xpress, Tantalus, and Plinth have been skied, is the NF of JT Or maybe it's already been done given the annoyingly non-chalant attitude in Whistler
hubris
Anybody know exactly what Jia skied on Skihist. I had heard it was on the "north-east side". Edited March 6, 2005 by hubris
layton
jodop once pointed out a phone pole swath through the trees covered in snow at night and said, "dude that looks like a sweet coulior" and now has become a running joke. join in. dude, sweet couloir. anything you could roll up on your side probably isn't much fun to slog up. i'm gonna buy you an incinometer for whatever stupid holiday you unbaptised heathen canadians are celebrating next.
