John Frieh Posted May 15, 2006 Author Posted May 15, 2006 What time you done? I'm hoping to climb all three of those days AND I owe you a six pack! Quote
willstrickland Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Around 4 or 5. I lifted your phone num off an earlier post in this thread, I'll try to give you a ring this afternoon. Quote
olyclimber Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I found it on the bathroom wall at a truckstop half way between the north cascades and PDX. Seriously John, thanks for the advice on the windshirt. also, that was the perfect hike to check out Mt. Stuart. Quote
John Frieh Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 Will, Daniel Harro and his girl are planning on Wednesday... I haven't heard from anyone about today but could be easily swayed... just say the word. Â At this point I am planning on Wednesday... Quote
castlecrag Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I was thinking of heading out tonight if anyone is free. tomorrow is out for me Quote
billcoe Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Willstrickland What day holmes? I got internet access in my hotel so I can check back. Or call me at the Monarch Hotel on SE 93rd. Tues, Wed, Thurs free after work hours. Flying back Fri. Â Johnfrieh What time you done? I'm hoping to climb all three of those days AND I owe you a six pack! Â Will sounds like he might appreciate some easier stuff. Is he going to be there? If no, I have all kinds of aches and pains (teenage son and basketball are a bad combo) and might just take a nap instead. Quote
John Frieh Posted May 16, 2006 Author Posted May 16, 2006 Rocky Butte 5 pm - pump.  I don't know where we will be... look for a silver we should be nearby  If you have a rope and/or super long slings/webbing bring it + some lockers  Call me if you want me to pick you up or need to borrow any gear Will Quote
DanielHarro Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I will be their, I can bring some slings and such. Quote
Backwoods Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Off to climb Hood late tonight. I'll post to climb some rock later in the week. Quote
syklone Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I'll be there tomorrow (Wed) too. My stupid hand is all recovered so its time to get outside again. Â I'll be at Rocky by 5, with an extra rope and slings. Â Troy Quote
DJ_Dirty_Ernie Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I'll be at the butte this evening 6. I'll wander around till I find some folks. Ben Quote
billcoe Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Me too. I think Will Strickland will be there, and has noted that he hasn't climbed for 18 months or some damn thing. Â What do you all think of Silver bullet and making sure the easier stuff is set up? (Superman, Jack of Hearts, and Midnight Warrior-the 5.8 corner to the R of Fandango) Â If we have enough ropes we can also do Glens route to the right of Superman, and all the regular standards. billcoe Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Rocky Butte question/thread. Â Rocky Butte new route/bolt opinion solicitation page, please click the link here and check this out. Quote
willstrickland Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 If you see my ass hitching up the hill, pick a brother up yeah? I'm going to try to get out of here around 4 and catch a bus up 82nd. Quote
billcoe Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Gladly Will, If you want to post your phone number here, people can call and try to co-ordinate as they head up the hill or get near, maybe meet the bus your on somewhere on 82nd for instance. Â Wasn't somebody willing to drive by and pick you up? (I'm coming from Beaverton in rush hour and won't get there till @ 5:45-6 so I'd be out for that job) Â My mobile is 503-869-5772 Quote
willstrickland Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 I didn't check Bill, I'm not sure exactly when I'll be able to get loose, don't have a cell, and I'm way down at Crack a myass. So I figured it's easier for all involved if I just get up to Fremont. It can't be more than a mile or so up from the 82nd/Fremont intersection to the pullouts. Â If I get there early I'll just hang around the first pullout I come to. I'll have a gray pack, blue hat, tan shorts. Quote
jcarsey Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Bill, Â What time are you leaving beaverton? maybe we can carpool? I live down by murray/scholls but I could drive to your house easily enough. Quote
billcoe Posted May 17, 2006 Posted May 17, 2006 Will, we'll look for you. It's not a far walk in either case. I suspect well be further down the road than the first pull out. Â Jaben, I try to get out of here before 4:45-5. I'd like to carpool, except for couple of things, 1st, I live in North PDX and the Beaverton commute is from work. But, I go visiting relatives directly after climbing, and the time off work thing is somewhat flexable, I might have to work till 6, or I might be able to blow out of here at 4 (unusual) ...sooo, carpooling isn't the best thing. syklone Posted May 19, 2006 Posted May 19, 2006 Great time last night guys! Check out the note in the Oregon pages about the suspect boulder next to that lady's house. Â LINK Quote

Backwoods Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Looks like the rain might hold off for a day or two, anyone up to climb tomorrow (monday) afternoon evening or Tuesday (anytime). Â Come on, it still beats the gym...! Quote
