We're getting payback for April this year, where we had the exact opposite situation.

I don't mind the rain one bit. It gives me a chance to spend time on all the other activities I do other than climbing.

Lets see here . . . temp is 0 and the skies are clear. 20 inches of snow in the past 48 hours. Ice is forming faster than cubes in a freezer and the backcountry turns are golden.

I have heard rumors that such things exist. Please list examples.

Reading about climbing.

Repairing holes in climbing clothing.

Buying new climbing gear.

Dreaming about climbing.

Sorting through climbing pictures.

Writing backlogged climbing TRs.

Getting drunk with other climbers.

If you are like me, and work weekends and have weekdays OFF... I don't see the problem wink.gif

Let's see, Sunday was a great day to be in the Cascades at least south of, say, Cascade Pass. The higher peaks were in the clouds but anything lower than 6,000 ft was clear. It was warm too. I'm kicking myself for not going climbing, though I did do outdoor activities.

So, you see, often the forecast is not good at this time of year but the weather improves. Prepare yourself for improving conditions and go out if it does. If it doesn't, go out anyway...and suffer.
