texplorer Posted May 17, 2004 Posted May 17, 2004 You can try and PM Jim Anglin on here. He goes by retired on here and he did alot of the first ascents up there in the menagerie. Quote
retired Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 I have climbed in the Menagerie for nearly 30 years now. It used to be in my backyard, now a 4 hour drive, so I don't get there much. I have a little guide (36 pages that I will email if you give me an address to send it to. Warning the Menagerie is an adventure area, one person descrbed it as playing hardball up there, but I love the place. good climbing Jim Quote
John Frieh Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Hi Jim! How is that haul bag treating you? Email me at your leisure; I'd like to climb at Horsethief with you some time. Â All: Jim's guide is excellent! Quote
shapp Posted May 21, 2004 Posted May 21, 2004 Listen to Jim, It is defenitely an adventure area. The Menageria aint smith and it aint flagstone Quote
corvallisclimb Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 Jim, thanks so much for sending me the guide. I had the chance to hike around up there and explore many of the formations. Didn't get a chance to climb anything yet, as we spent the day hiking around looking. I cant wait to get back and get up some of those routes. Quote
jkrueger Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 Listen to Jim, It is defenitely an adventure area. The Menageria aint smith and it aint flagstone It actually has an approach hike, which serves to keep the masses away! Quote
