Ratboy Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Am I the only one that finds it not only pathetic, but also disgraceful that Bush won't appear before the 911 Committee without Cheney with him? What the fuck? Quote
swaterfall Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 It's part of the current adminstrations policy of keeping all information completely to themselves. Jeez, they don't even keep Colin Powell informed on who they're telling what. Quote
assmonkey Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 At the administration's request, the questioning will not be recorded, nor will a stenographer be present to make a transcript. Commission members may take notes. That significantly differs with the commission's interviews with former President Clinton (news - web sites) and former Vice President Al Gore (news - web sites), which a commission member said were recorded. Yahoo news link. Â Just as pathetic and disgracful as not showing up for Guard duty. But, with his previous track record, what do we expect? Quote
E-rock Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 "The testimony of Bush and Cheney will not be under oath, but they will "tell it exactly how it happened," McClellan said. McClellan said he expected Bush — not Cheney — to do most of the talking."  And that's only ONE gem of interest in the article posted by assmonkey. Quote

lummox Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 the gem of gems is that gw gots the power. and you dont. Quote
Jim Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 It's amazing that this guy gets such a pass from the press. We know he's a dimwit, the press knows it, but somehow they don't talk about his lack of knowledge about the world and the specifics of his own policies for fear of being labeled a bush basher - then they would be persona non grata at press conferences and give a new seat at the back of the room. Dumb as a stump. Quote
eternalX Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Well normal journalism doesn't alow for editorial opinion. That's up for you to add or an editorial show. Quote
Jim Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 Well normal journalism doesn't alow for editorial opinion. That's up for you to add or an editorial show. Â Not an opinion - this guy is DUMB! He can't string together several 3 syllable words without breaking into a sweat! Why do you think Cheney, Condi, and Karl won't let him off the leash to run around on his own with the 911 Commission. Because he would trip over his tounge. He's not just inarticulate - he's DUMB. Doesn't read, never travelled before, born with the silver spoon up his nose, but looks ok in suits. It's a great partnership with Cheney working the levers behind the scenes and Bush as figurehead. Quote
lummox Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 i have heard he is real smart when one on one but comes across in large groups as a moron. he aint stupid whatever he is. Quote
b-rock Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I just got done w/ Woodward's book, and as scary and eye opening as it was, I actually have a better opinion of GW's intellect and his ability to communicate. In stark contrast to everything I hear when he opens his mouth... Quote

Peter_Puget Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 CLinton showed up with Sandy Berger and Bruce Linsey (his freakin lawyer) and I would note that two dems on the 9/11 commission walked out during the President's testimony. They had more important things to do! Quote
gotterdamerung Posted May 1, 2004 Posted May 1, 2004 I bet some of you pounding your 5.11 bird chests would be just great in front of an audience of millions. I also bet you would make great presidents from the way you talk. I'm deeply and profoundly impressed. Quote
