Lambone Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 If you look close and go in slow mo, it looks like another bile is getting buried at the bottom of the runout zone... Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 10, 2003 Author Posted December 10, 2003 Nobody was harmed apparently. Quote
Dan_Harris Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Did anyone else find it interesting that Gregly's videographer buddy doesn't seem to be bothered that his friend is a potential avy burial victim. It seems to me an excited OH SHIT!!! would have been more appropriate than the commentary provided. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 10, 2003 Author Posted December 10, 2003 Maybe it's a ritual for them who knows. I do hear the seemingly to some non chalant verbal account but you dont know Greg or the cameraman do you? I interpret "Go Greg GO!" as great support and no harm meant - only good intentions. Quote
Dan_Harris Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Cavey, I agree with your interpretation of "Go Greg Go". I do not know Greg or his cameraman, but it still seems rather non-chalant. I know about high pointing, but do these guys not understand avalanches or do they try to set them off on purpose to see if they can out run the avy on their sleds? Just wondering. Quote
Scott_J Posted December 10, 2003 Posted December 10, 2003 Who the fuck cares. Hi pointers get nailed every year. These are the same ass holes that give sno-goes a bad name. I have used sno-goes for years for hunting caribou, approaching ice climbs, hauling lumber to remote sites for spring projects, hauling fire wood, water etc. Hi pointers are the perfect example of "FUCK WITH THE BULL AND YA GET THE HORN"! And I do not say that lightly 'cause a very good friend's son caused one of the biggest hi point accidents in Alaska that nailed three or four people in Turnagain Pass area. Sad, but its what you get for playing with dynamite. Here is the link if anyone wants to read it. I would of posted it but its too damn big. http://www.csac.org/Incidents/1998-99/19990321-Alaska.html Quote
