Lambone Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Here's to all the fee-healers riping freshies up at Bachelor this weekend More Tele skiiers than I've ever seen in one weekend. The snow was dope on a stick! Quote
iain Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 The best is when they fake stretching their calves in the lift line to make it clear to everyone they are on tele gear Quote
b-rock Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Got a bunch of runs in Saturday morning, some pretty sweet snow down there! Quote
gapertimmy Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 there was a 2-day tele clinic up here this weekend, thus the influx of people stretching calves in lift lines, and doing unnecessary turns right down low close to the chair saturday was effin sweet. 5" freshish, grotto run, yummy. for some reason people weren't here early on saturday, but the masses came out on sunday, 2" not as good but still plab for the stab. cletus and i wen't over to tumalo after an hour at bachy, excellent skin up, didn't see a soul, and as we crested the ridge we saw the crowd of 20 or so jong's rippin it up on tummelo. boarders who had boot backed all the way up, n00b tele babes falling and messing up untracked freshish. oh well, it was still stellar, some was gotten, and all is plab. lummox Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 i think skiers look like pathetic double amputee recovery patients wobbling around with two canes to help em stay upright. go boarders. Quote
gapertimmy Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 what really looks pathetic is a boarder post holing up a slope in their moon boots, whilst skiers of all persuasions glide past on skins. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Aint no reason to tele ski. Get with the technology becuz nobody thinks tele skiers are cool but themselves. Quote

Cpt.Caveman Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 The only smart snowboarders appear to be the ones using split boards. Quote

nonanon Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Boot packing is lame? Nothing's more lame than riding the lifts. It ain't climbing, it ain't backcountry and it sure as hell ain't where the Freshiez roam most of the time. Fuck the resorts. It's like reading a TR from the gym. Quote
iain Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 hey tele is cool. I have no problem with it. Quote

AlpineK Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 There's nothing wrong with resort skiing. It's fun, and it helps you log enough dh time so when you go bc skiing you can rip it up. Quote

("This snow seems sketchy, let's go ride.") Next thing ya know, you're just another Romper Suited Tosser cruising the groomiez with your pack on. "I'm really a backcountry skier. No, REALLY I am! Lookit my bindings!" Quote
iain Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 I think I saw this guy just the other day in Dutchman Flat snopark cranking the 2-cycle Quote
iain Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 you see a guy with a "patrol" pack on lift serve, 99.5% of the time when you look down you will see tele bindings Quote

iain Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 that's awfully ambitious. I routinely startle packs of boarders puffing tough in the woods between runs at mt hood meadows. smoke is just billowing Quote
nonanon Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 Denalis would be a much better match with that tosser's suit... Quote

iain Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 the boots he has on in the photo are more stylish than the baby-blue denalis. but at least he doesn't look like Sting (i.e. he is not wearing T2's) Quote
