catbirdseat
For example, as a result of my readings on CC.com I almost always use the EDK instead of the double fisherman's knot for joining two ropes for rappel. After reading about Stefan's accident, if I am going to rap from a single sling, I always use a double fisherman's knot on the sling instead of a water knot. iain
Oh, and not trusting a water knot for a sling? wtf.
Attitude
I'll never wear shorts over polypro and always opt for Schoeller. Also I've bought a kit of manufacturers stickers for my helmet, which I leave on my pack. Next I make sure everyone in the group ridicules other groups in the wilderness, complaining that they are the problem. Last, I'll spray on any topic, cuz that's what the kewl folks do. Hey, this is just my opinion. It's just semantics.
Charlie
I've learned that a lot of people on here are dorks (when I finally met them in person).

If there is already one sling on the station and I am just backing it up, I'll use the water knot.

iain
enough of this shorts over polypro thing. yeah it looks bad but I could see it being functional. also, who cares what you look like out there. Not wearing shorts over poly to be fashionable is like arranging the deck chairs on the Titantic for a lot of you.

Dru
wearing shorts over poly is like wandering around the dihedrals at smith with a rack of hexes and pitons.

allthumbs
I've found most climbers and hikers look like stooges. If I was a hot chick, I wouldn't scrog any of ya.
catbirdseat
I'm kind of serious about this post. I want to hear about climbing procedures, otherwise I would have put it in spray.
allthumbs
Oops, my bad. I thought it was a spray topic. Sounded like one.
catbirdseat
Actually, it is also a good spray topic too. Why don't you replicate it in Spray?
Cpt.Caveman
Yeah it makes me want to trundle on geeks when they ask me if I am posting on this site.

I've learned to always use an autoblock when I rap, takes like 15 extra seconds.
erik
i don't think i have done anything any different(as i am the best ever!!!!) but it has introduced me to some good people! and that un to itself has many a benefit.

Necronomicon
The CDK is typically christened with a blast of pot smoke, making it one of the most confusing knots to tie.
Sphinx
Yeah, cc.com has made me into a useless employee, takes up all my time, and lets me piss off people who I don't know and probably will never know. Talk about a boring thread. Holy shit!
E-rock
Another classic thread for the history books!
