Dave_Schuldt Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 I saw: Chico Hamilton, Blind Boys of Alabama, Hassan Hakmoun, Samba drumming and dancing and West African drumming and dancing. Lots of skin: the hot, the fat and the ugly. Well worth the $20 to get in. Chico- verry nice. Blind boys- never seen old men rock so hard! Hassan- Danced like crazy, well as much as my legs could stand after the mornings mt bike ride. What did you see? Quote
sk Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 I saw two grey suirels, a bunch of crows, a blue jay and a hawk. but then I spent my weekend climbing and hiking Quote
Dan_Harris Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 Alot of road kill and moron drivers, expecially the woman in Roseburg in a pickup pulling onto I-5 and dialing her cell phone at the same time. Drove from Central CA to McMinnville, OR and back. Quote
babnik Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 i was biking in the valley and an injured crow jumped right in front of my bike. i had to swerve like a muthafaq. Quote
Dwayner Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 Pube Club Dave say: "I saw: Chico Hamilton, Blind Boys of Alabama, Hassan Hakmoun...." Â David......nobody has ever heard of these people. I'm glad you found them entertaining. Nice to see that this is Monday and you still have yet to do your weekly shout-out, e.g.:"hot-dang! It's Monday, people! Ya knows what thats means! Yee-haw! Pube-Club Tuesday comin' up! Hubba-da-hubba-da-hubba-da!!!! Where's we drinkin', muchachos y chicas?????" Â Â Â Quote
AlpineK Posted September 1, 2003 Posted September 1, 2003 The Blind Boys of Alabama are pretty good Dwayner; even a grumpy old curmudgeon like you would enjoy them. Â All and all I do agree with your basic sentiment. Quote

dryad Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 Went yesterday and saw Carissa's Weird, Nickel Creek, Ms. Led, Wilco, and REM while spending much of the day trying largely in vain to meet up with some other friends who were elsewhere at the festival. Quote
Crackbolter Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 What? No Leftover Salmon or Breakdancing Breakoffs? Did you see the parade? How about the drum circle? Â Yeah, Nickel Creek is cool but Chris Thile is better when he is playing with Tony Rice or Mike Marshall. Quote

Oh yeah, I also saw Leftover Salmon, some of the parade and drum circle, and a contortionist guy with blue tights. Is it just me or was the place even more of a mob scene than usual? Quote

Also saw some Macy Gray, Hasan, Space harp thang, Kinski, Kinky, and stopped in to listen to Kid Hops and DJ Riz spin some toonz. By far the Kinky show was the best. Quote
