Norsky Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Poor DFA. He gets no respect. I've been a desciple of his wisdom and smith beta for...well, forever. DFA, I remember the good ol' days on the Smith message board. Quote
Norsky Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Also, that new Smith Guide is going to sell faster than Harry Potter! I'm immediately driving down to Redpoint to sleep in line for it. Perhaps if enough of us show up we can have an "Alan" party and dress the occasion. You know, torn lycra etc. Quote
iain Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 The Doctor will be on hand to personally sign any new copies of the guide you might have, crowd-control willing, of course. Quote

layton Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 The reason you can't find it is cuz it's not published by Globe Pequot Press anymore! Call any local retailer and they can special order it for you through Monkeyface Press (Alan's new publisher...they did the Selkirk N. guide also). Good luck Quote

Tyler Posted November 7, 2003 Posted November 7, 2003 (edited) I checked Ingram, and it is not in stock there. Plus, it was not listed in their forthcoming titles database. I also searched their supplier database - nothing there either. I cannot find a trace of the book or the publisher using any of the publishing industry tools available online. Ingram does have the old guidebook in stock, and it is listed as in print. I was at Redpoint a few weeks back, and they indicated that the original publisher went ahead and brought the old guidebook back into print - no sign of the new guidebook yet. Does anyone happen to have contact information for MonkeyFace Press or happen to have concrete information about the new guidebook (release date, ISBN, publisher, etc). iain Posted November 8, 2003 Posted November 8, 2003 I think there was a very small printing first run, since only a few of us got copies. Kind of sucks, since so many people are trying to get that book. Keep at it and I'm sure more will be coming. It's worth the effort. Quote
