What time are you going to be up there? Meeting at timberline at 5:00 am <grumble grumble> Oh well, it's worth it for climbing We're doing the South Side, and taking a bunch of newbies up, so we'll prolly be going pretty slow. (This just means I load my pack up with a bunch of water and write it off as strength training.) Quote
gapertimmy Posted April 28, 2003 Posted April 28, 2003 cletus and i went to the banff festival in bend both notes, i enjoyed it but again there wasn't enough mountain porn. i too enjoyed the denali flick, and the one about the canadians boating that long ass river in russia. front range freaks was entertaining, but indeed, too many "thinking" movies, i don't like to think, i want to be shocked and awed Quote

I've got an RPM back in MA, and I'd like something more aggresive (preferably with chines) Ideally I'd like a WS Forplay, but I don't feel like dropping the $300-$400 on a used one right now. Its a perception dancer (I think). Its so old the writing on its worn off. Definitely not what you are looking for. Quote

rbw1966 Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 I am 6'3" and I fit in it. I am not much of a paddler though. Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 I'm 6'2", but I've got long legs and my kneecaps stick out more than most peoples. I couldn't get them past the kneebraces. I don't know if it was just the dancer I was trying, or if it was all of them, but I couldn't get into the thing no matter how much I tried (short of removing my kneecaps.) Other tall people in the club could get into it, it was just me who couldn't. Quote
Lambone Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 Man, if you can fit in a dancer, better just take up Sea Kyaking! Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 It was just my knee caps that wouldn't fit past the kneebraces/bulkhead. I've actually fit into a XXX (with much pain) it was in a pool and only for a few minutes, but I could toss the ends around in that thing like they weren't there Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 at this point it almost is! there are a lot of boats out there now that aren't much over 6' long! (and think some that may even be under). Having a boat that's shorter than a paddle just doesn't sit right with me... Quote
erik Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 APPRENTLY YOU DONT LIKE TO DO SICK ENDS AND FRONT SIDES AND ALL SORT OF OTHER SICK ASS JIBBIN' Quote
Ursa_Eagle Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 I feel like I'd get totally trashed in a hole in something shorter than I am. I'd like to get a WS Forplay and learn how to toss ends in that. Quote

Fejas Posted May 1, 2003 Posted May 1, 2003 Fishing was pretty piss poor on the mackinze, so I went up there, and as soon as you can see it (drive close to it) there is snow on the road... also there is still snow on the rock, and trees... its to bad that all the other boulders, and cliffs on your way there are on Rosebouro property... I've been arrested on their property before, so I don't make it a habit to hang to long... Quote
sk Posted May 2, 2003 Posted May 2, 2003 thanks for the heads up if the weather keeps up like today, it ought to melt out soon Quote
skyclimb Posted May 2, 2003 Posted May 2, 2003 Dancer!! These climbs are great, due to the variations. check out setting up top rope on the 5.10b just next to dancer on the same wall. Fucking sick side pulls! Quote
Fejas Posted May 2, 2003 Posted May 2, 2003 probable all ready is after this whole week... But the road on the sno was in the trees, so that might take a little longer... by next weekend it sould be primed and ready for action... Quote
