Texaswall Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 I am undoubtedly premature with this post, but I am overly excited about seeing Seattle and Squamish in July. I am experienced but unspectacular, Texan but liberal, forty (by then) but fit, and ready for some long moderates including Grand Wall. I arrive Sea-Tac midday on July 9 and will grab a rental for the ride. I'll bring as much gear as needed, beer money, and a desire to see if Canadian coffee shops are as fun as Amsterdam's. Must return to Seattle by the evening of the 12th (Saturday) for an Educators' Visit to Fort Lewis. Quote
COL._Von_Spanker Posted March 12, 2003 Posted March 12, 2003 I'm sure you will find plenty of people to join you. I would say I would go, but that's sort of a long way off. Welcome to the PNW and CC.COM Quote

Texaswall Posted March 24, 2003 Author Posted March 24, 2003 Here's the Texan in me...you folks are making me nervous. Scary clowns, soft porn kitty climbers, potential "Man seeks man" responses. When I said liberal, it means I've drank an imported beer. However, I'd probably load all of y'all in the rental if it would insure some climbing. Quote
Retrosaurus Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Shouldn't you be heading for Colorado. Everyone there is really from Texas anyway. You should feel right at home. You can climb the 14ers there to set yourself up for a proper Texas/Colo/Rainier epic. Maybe even die. Quote
specialed Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 If you haven't found a partner already, I imagine you'd have better luck if you posted again closer to July. That's probably too far off for most people here to plan a trip to Squamish Good luck. Quote
Greg_W Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 When's July again? Is it still after June? Hmmm...Long way off, man. Quote
Winter Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 yo tex - ignore these jackarses. rustle yourself up a pardner in the parking lot the oldfashioned way ... Quote

Texaswall Posted April 8, 2003 Author Posted April 8, 2003 I'm still here and glad I could start a thread for GRs...gymp reports. And yes, July seems like a long way off, but I don't want to squander a Squamish opportunity. Quote
