Fejas Posted February 24, 2003 Posted February 24, 2003 I don't think we have any of these gas stations in eugene... If we do I have no Idea where they are... Citgo Sunoco Conoco Sinclair Phillips BP Amoco It seems Kinda shitty that the US has plenty of oil to fuel it's own nation for pennies on the dollar, but we make more money exporting our own and buying someone elses... AlpinistAndrew Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 Most of the companies that claim they don't import from Middle Eastern countries, we don't even have around here and/or I've never even heard of. Citgo is the one that is part of the 7-11 chain. There are Conocos in WA, but I have only seen them on the eastside of the state. Quote

Rodchester Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 I've got gas...just ask my wife. She says that if we could harness it, we'd be rich. But then there might be a war over me, and I would hate to see people go to war over my ass. Beer + my gastrointestinal system = gas Quote
To_The_Top Posted February 26, 2003 Posted February 26, 2003 Almost as bad as a war over "a rack" Quote

A lot of it has to do with geography. Alaska is a lot closer to Japan than many other sources, so it make sense to sell to the Japanese. The price of crude has to include the cost of shipping it. Much of the oil we import comes from Venezuela and Mexico, which are closer to us than the middle east. Quote
