Is there any headway on this, I am recovering for the next 4months and would like to help more. I just don't know what else I can do. Located in yelm, and spend a lot of time there normally.

The link you posted had nothing about a price increase. They also cite staffing issues for the inability to open 7 days a week and are open Fri-Mon as a result. Doesn't that cater to working people who only have weekends free? Obviously the dirtbags and the tech bros are bummed. As a former lesser order dirtbag I feel the frustration. Maybe we could adequately fund the NPS with tax dollars so they can be open all the time and then everyone can enjoy our public lands at minimal cost? I know that's probably not how you see it. Genuinely curious what your concern is... give us some specifics.

So, how did the new Superintendent spend the money? Mr. King seemed to be able to manage resources properly before he left. Why can't Mr. Dudgeon? He wore out his welcome in Alaska--and now we're stuck with him. And what did the Biden Administration do for four years? (I mean, besides give nearly $200Bn to Ukraine and billions more to fund programs for illegals.) But let's not kid ourselves, bureaucrats will always plead poverty when there's hard work to be done. Or hide behind a wall of indecipherable rules that they themselves get to write. No amount of money will ever be enough to "properly" fund this or that. Open the park, already.

He's been in place for two years now. All the restrictions/closures at MRNP started with him. Worse than Ubaraga; every bit as obnoxious as Bill Briggle.

This is a big problem with the National Park Service. For varying reasons, they come to view the public as the other, and the parks they administer as their own.

I'm hoping we get the Gator back to run MRNP at some point. He's got the cred, paid his dues, and he's one of us.

The biggest crime remains no sledding or tubing in the park. At all. What a bunch of BS.

One time my scout troop (RIP Troop 1861 Quilcene) camped out somewhere near the base of Rainier in winter (idk where).  We quickly found a super hazardous sled run and tubes were found somewhere.  I think it resulted in 2 teeth lost and one punctured lip, but it was a great time with that group of hell raisers.  Pretty sure almost half the troop ended up in prison at some point later on, or at last it seemed like it.  Kids these days are deprived! Get off my lawn.
