oldster Posted March 27, 2021 Posted March 27, 2021 (edited) Trip: Mt. Index - Lake Serene photo tripTrip Date: 03/23/2021Trip Report: I did a morning hike up to Lake Serene last week to fly my drone and get some new views of Mt. Index. Thought some of you might enjoy a couple images. Gear Notes: DJI Mavic 2 ProApproach Notes: I thought there would be a good boot pack but the last traverse was snowshoed and I punched through a bit. JasonG Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Wow!!!! Those are both incredible images. Thanks for posting them @oldster. Quote
Kameron Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 Awesome, Jim! Would be cool to see drone shots of the "extreme snowboard" route on the NE face somewhere put up a few years ago. Quote
Michael Telstad Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Those are incredible! Definitely the best picture I've seen of the north face. Would you ever consider taking close up photos certain faces upon request? Quote
oldster Posted April 14, 2021 Author Posted April 14, 2021 Thanks for the comments guys. Michael, sorry, but I'm not interested in the close-up idea. I have heard though that many climbers around the world are getting drones for just that reason. Here in WA many places would be off limits though because of the no drones limits in national parks and wilderness areas. Quote
genepires Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 a new take on the John Scurlock mtn photography! surprising detail for a drone camera but what do I know about such things? bravo! Quote
