jon Posted October 2, 2018 Posted October 2, 2018 I'm copying what I posted on Instagram today. If you don't already follow us there please do, it really helps us out a lot: https://www.instagram.com/cascadeclimbers/ Quote It's incredible to think we started @cascadeclimbers 17 years ago that has been used by so many people and had such an impact on so many climbers. We are truly grateful to everyone who has contributed positively over the years. The world and technology are very different now and it's been interesting trying to find our place in that. I'd love to say we are at the mature teenager stage now, past some of the more dramatic but highly rewarding stages. We are just two guys with families and regular jobs trying to have an impact. We aren't owned by a big corporation. We've always stayed true to supporting our local businesses and will continue to do so in the future. Social media has it's place and we certainly embrace that, but there is no question that we are the product here. On @cascadeclimbers there is no product, it's simply a community to meet and share experiences.⠀ If you want to give us an awesome gift and help us celebrate we'd love it if you could do any or all of the following. ⠀ 1. Tag a few of your friends in the comment section who don't follow us, or even better repost this 🏷⠀ 2. Using the link in the bio to sign up for our newsletter. We send limited emails and are working on some cool exclusive deals with local retailers to share. 💌⠀ 3. If you haven't done so write up a trip report of your favorite trip from this year 🏔⠀ 4. Encourage your friends to start posting if they aren't. Maybe they are not aware we have over 8800+ Trip Reports. 🧗♂️⠀ - With ❤️ Jon and Porter⠀ Thank you to everyone who has contributed here over the years. It's been a journey, a bit tough at times, but so worth it. This place isn't perfect but we will continue to pour our heart into it, and the biggest thing you can do to help this place is just be an awesome contributor, agree to disagree at times, keeping pumping out TRs, and leave things better than you found them. 1 Quote
JasonG Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Yeah guys, thanks for all the years of hilarity and beta overload! I went from a single young buck to a married middle aged dude with two kids in those 17 years. I'm still at the same desk with the same title though, which is somewhat strange, funny, and depressing all at the same time. @gapertimmy @jon @olyclimber Quote
