I'm no computer expert, but I recently took out the hard drives of a coupla old boat anchors lying around the house and turned them into external hard drives. If the hard drive ain't damaged, couldn't you just do that, and access your data from another computer via the USB port?

It's OK in this day and age to be a SW nerd-boi. Re: the probe droid language, that I would like to hear you do. I can only fake it, not "reproduce" it.
-
Not to be a stickler, but I believe you are referring to Imperial probe droids, yes?
-
I just blew beer out my noze. That was even funnier than the vid!

And I thought they were such a peaceful people...

You do know what you should do now, rob, yes? Unless of course you lost your job to his kid. That could change things...

Jeepers, people, can we post this thing just one more time? Mebbe then it'll tie for the cluckers repost record.

I'd just like to add that had you been with me at Lightning Dome, we would have had the entire area to ourlseves, and you wouldn't have had to wait for anything. And that would have been a good thing, since I was partnerless. He bailed on me after we had made phone arrangements to meet at the campground, and I had descended into the canyon and lost cell reception. Didn't learn the full extent of the bail until two days into the weekend when I came up for air out of the canyon and got the "three beeps" on my cell. So, what I'm saying is at least you got to climb this weekend. Take solace in that, friend.

Cougar got the yummy... the vid was funny

it is right - rarely used, but right. look it up. Checked my huge tome (2,000+ pages) of the RHD. I humbly stand corrected. "You have to know these things when you're a king, you know." ---Arthur, King of the Britons Ouch! I guess you've earned a hearty "Touche'!" from me, Erik. But I must ask, do you trawl teh interwebs relentlessly, mining nuggets such as this?

You were missed at LD. My partner bailed on me.

163... Yeesh! Bill, you make me sick to my stomach. Oh well, I think I'll have another beer to drown my sorrows... + =

I used to do this in my junior year of high school. I needed to be in the calculus class, because when I entered this Virgina HS after transferring from Italy, I had already taken the math courses that the VA school was teaching for juniors. So I wasn't much interested in repeating Algebra II, but I still had to wait until my processing had been completed to get moved up to the calculus class. Needless to say, I was bored for a few days... So to help assuage my boredom, I quickly learned that my Algebra II teacher had a habit of standing at the door and making mental notes of which students had arrived during the class change. I'd make a big show of making sure he noticed me come to his class. Then I'd walk over to the 2nd floor window, check to make sure he wasn't looking, and promptly jump out the window. Then I'd run around the building and walk back into class again like I had not yet arrived, giving him another big "Hello, Mr. Whateverhisnamewas!". I always got this funky look from him like he thought he was losing his mind or something. This went on for about a week or so, until I was finally transferred up to the calculus class.

Climbing at Lightning Dome on the SF Clearwater River, again.
-
It was so fine that I'm leaving to go back there in about two hours or so. Wanna come?
-
Porter, that really has to stop. And soon...
-
you seem to be a little late in leaving, judging by your ETD in your other post...
-
Just getting started now (3:30). I'm gonna have a beer or three and then I'm outta here at 4 o'clock for the long w/e. And you're a half-hour late in leaving, 5K. I think I beat you to the beer again, sucka!

Yes, but he's got a point. One that could sway enough voters into the D column. Read the comments from that link. Seems the Rs may have a no-experience relief pitcher to fill a dead McCain spot. But the Ds are putting in a no-experience man as their starting pitcher. Who's more irresponsible here, Begala? Hmm?

That was a separate incident Yes, both mkporwit and I (the ones discussing it) are well aware of that fact, but we were discussing it here, since there is no separate thread for the TFM incident and it's kind of a moot point now anyway.

Holy moly, 2x/day! I had my last guy on fluids 2x/WEEK plus meds every A.M. and P.M. It wore me to a nub. You are a hell of a trooper. But, we owe it to our pals. Before my buddy Trango cashed in his chips, I had him on sub-q ringers 3X/day and meds 3X/day. I went home for lunch every day so I could give him his Rx. He was a real trooper, and the best cat I ever had. Well, Phydeaux's giving Trango a run for his money, anyway... Phydeaux, the Pirate Kitty chillin' in my back yard
