    Bush on TV

So PP - Has anyone ever said what intelligance the Senators were shown? Was it the same cooked up intelligance they showed everybody else? Because that stuff was pretty damning. Of course it was entirely false, but.....

    hoist + petard

Good to see conservatives have lowered themselves to the level where they belong. Alongside prison inmates who spend their lives harassing judges.
  6. Perhaps you could offer relevant information. In 46 posts you've sprayed politics, slammed people for using fixed lines, and mocked others.

    Bush on TV

"All I ask of my citizens is that they obey my orders as they would the word of god. We are in Iraq to help the Iraqis, because inside every towelhead there is an American trying to get out. It's a hardball world, son. We've gotta keep our heads until this peace craze blows over." (with apologies to Mr. Kubrick)

Bullshit. Energy consumption & cost are not intrinsically linked. What part of don't you understand of accept?

Layoff the pot dude. Isn't the same as: Note none of the points I posted referred to cost savings; they referred to environmental benefits of reduced energy consumption and pollution.

hmm. * Recycled glass saves 50% energy vs. virgin glass (Center for Ecological Technology); recycling of one glass container saves enough energy to light a 100-watt bulb for 4 hours (EPA) * Recycled glass generates 20% less air pollution and 50% less water pollution (NASA) * 1 ton of glass made from 50% recycled materials saves 250 lbs. of mining waste (EPA) * Glass can be reused an infinite number of times; over 41 billion glass containers are made each year (EPA) starting to resemble Fairweather in your accuracy

  17. I don't think the NW is any more negative that Colorado. This website just allows unfettered spraydom.

    gas in oregon

Good god. The only thing dumber than the gas law is people who get bent out of shape over it. "mommy, please can I have my hands smell like gasoline and stand outside in the wind? Please?"
  19. How about those who willfully pass false information to congress and the public?
  20. So if malpractice is 1% of the total, and the total cost is rising 10% a year, how does changing malpractice insurance reduce the skyrocketing costs of healthcare?
  21. No, it's the Chinese's slur for Japan. With 4x the population of Japan, China has a bit more growth in it. Not to mention they are at the production evolution stage that Japan was 50 years ago, you remember, 25 years before Japan was going to own us? I'm sure you have the sort of NVA job that's impervious to economic cycles, so carry on.
  22. You belong on monkey island.
  23. Newsflash: China isn't Japan!
  24. So we should bar all suits - or cap the awards at a pittance? Shield people who perform unauthorized penile enlargements? Allow drug companies to perform cynical settlement calculations like Ford did with the Pinto? Doesn't sound like much of a solution.
  25. Because they don't want to go they shouldn't pay? Sorry I'm not a bleeding heart here - they have money to pay. When they were alive they could only keep the house if they were expecting to return. Since they obviously didn't return why should they be able to shield their assets? To put it simply: Why should everyone else pay for them to pass things on to their heirs?
